2 GB Installation Levelling the machine correctly will pr ovide it with stability , help to avoid vibrations and excessive noise and prevent it from shifting while it is operating. If it is placed on carpet or a rug, adjust the feet in such a way as to allow a sufficient ventilation space underneath the washing machine.
GB 3 Connecting the drain hose Connect the drain hose, wi- thou t ben ding it, to a dr aining duct or a wall drain situated between 65 and 100 cm from the floor; The drain hose may be connected to an under -sink trap. Before connecting the drai n ho se from the mach ine ensure that any blanks or removable ends have been taken off the spigot.
4 GB As the colours of the wires in the lead may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: Connect Green & Y ellow wire to terminal marked E or or coloured Gr een or Green & Y ellow .

6 GB Detergent dispenser drawer: used to dispense detergents and washing additives ( see “Detergents and laundry” ). ON/OFF button: switches the washing machine on and off. WAS H CY CLE knob : used to set the desired wash cycle (see “T able of wash cycles”).
GB 7 Indicator lights The indicator lights provide important information. This is what they can tell you: W ash cycle phase indicator lights Once the desired wash cycle has been selected and has begun, the indicator lights switch on one by one to indicate which phase of the cycle is currently in pr ogress.

GB 9 Personalisation Setting the temperature T ur n the TEMPERA TURE knob to set the wash temperature (see T able of wash cycles ). The temperature may be lower ed, or even set to a cold wash . The washing machine will automatically prevent you fr om selecting a temperature which is higher than the maximum value set for each wash cycle.
10 GB Deter gents and laundry Detergent dispenser drawer Good washing results also depend on the corr ect dose of detergent: adding too much detergent will not necessa- rily result in a mor e efficient wash, and may in fact cause build up on the inside of your appliance and contribute to environmental pollution.

12 GB Car e and maintenance Cutting off the water and electricity supplies • T urn off the water tap after every wash cycle. This will limit wear on the hydraulic system inside the washing machine and help to prevent leaks. • Unplug the washing machine when cleaning it and du - ring all maintenance work.
GB 13 T r oubleshooting Y our washing machine could fail to work. Before contacting the T echnical Assistance Centre ( see “Assistance” ), make sur e that the problem cannot be solved easily using the following list. Problem: The machine does not switch on.
14 GB The machine is noisy . The machine wont spin properly . The machine leaks from the dispenser . The machine leaks (other than dispenser). The indicator lights on the console are flashing rapidly . The machine smells. The machine door cannot be opened.
