Setting up 5 BT Baby Monitor 150 VTECH – Issue 2 – 27.05.08 – 8796 P arent unit 1. Plug the mains power cable into the socket m arked on the back of the Par ent unit charger .
Running rechar geable batteries right down at least once a week will help them last as long as possible. The charge capacity of rechar geable batteries will reduce with time as they wear out, so reducing the performance time of the Par ent unit. Eventually they will need to be replaced.
3. Replace the battery cover , turning the battery lock into the ver tical position again to lock it. Check the connection When both Units are switched on, the gr een link lights on both Units will come on. If the link between the Units is brok en at any time, the link lights will turn red and flash slowly .

U sing your B T Baby Monitor 150 14 BT Baby Monitor 150 VTECH – Issue 2 – 27.05.08 – 8796 Helpline If you have any problems using your BT Baby Monitor 150, call 0808 100 6554*. Swit ching on/off Switch on the P arent unit 1. Press and hold . The Link LED on the far left will illuminate.
Adjust speaker volume There ar e 5 volume levels (and off) on the Par ent unit. The volume level is shown on the display bars, e.g. level 3 is shown gggcc . 1. Press or . The volume level is displayed. Changing the volume setting on the Baby unit affects the volume when you use the T alk Back featur e and when playing a lullaby .
P aging Y ou can use the button on the Baby unit to find the P arent unit. This will also reset the speak er volume level, in case it has been switched off . 1. Press on the Baby unit. If the Par ent unit volume was set to off , this will automatically reset the volume t o the default volume.
T orch 1. Press and hold to switch the tor ch on. Press to switch off . Nightlight Set a comforting nightlight with a choice of three brightness levels. At the Baby unit 1. On the Baby unit, press to switch the nightlight On or Off . 2. Press repeatedly to select the brightness settings.
Pre-set temperat ure aler t range The Baby unit comes with pre-set minimum and maximum temperatur es, so if the temperatur e falls below or goes above the setting an alert will sound and the display will also show High or Low as appropriate. Default is 14˚C min.
Switch t emperat ure alert on or off 1. Press scroll t o Temperature . Press . 2. Alert on/off is displayed, pr ess . 3. The current available option will be displayed, either Alert on? or Alert off? Press to select the option displayed. 4. Press to return t o the standby display .
If you set the sensitivity level too low , only louder sounds in the baby’ s room will be picked up and communicated back to you via the Par ent unit. The Unit will not pick up quieter background noises. The default sensitivity setting is Level 5 – the microphone is permanently on.
Lullaby The Baby unit plays lullabies to gently soothe your baby back to sleep. Each lullaby is played repeatedly f or 15 minutes. Select one of the five melodies or select Play All for a medley of all 5 lullabies for 15 minutes. Y ou can also recor d your own lullaby or s tory las ting up to 2 minutes.
The Baby unit will stop monitoring during lullaby r ecording. The recording must be at least 3 seconds long. Scroll to Select New and press . Scroll or to Lullaby 1-5 , Own , Aux or Play All and press . During playback: Pause - Pr ess to stop playback for up to 60 seconds.
Delete a recorded lullaby 1. Press and hold . Af ter 2 seconds the displays shows Deleted . 2. Release . Connect an auxiliar y player Plug another player into your Baby unit, to play songs or stories. At the Baby unit: 1. Plug your player t o the auxiliar y input socket on the back of the Baby unit.
3. Timer On? is displayed. Press to select Set Time? and press . 4. Press or to set the number of hours. Press . Press or to set the number of minutes. Press . 5. Press to return t o the previous menu level. Start countdown timer 1. Press scr oll to Timer .
Set count up timer 1. Press scroll t o Timer . Press . 2. Scroll to Count up . Pr ess . 3. Timer On is displayed. Pr ess . 4. Press to star t the count up timer . Cancel count up timer 1. Press scroll to Timer . Press . 2. Scroll t o Count up . Press .
Set clock This sets the clock on both units. 1. Press scr oll to Timer . Pr ess . 2. Scroll to Clock and pr ess . 3. Set Time is displayed. Press . 4. Press or to set the hour then press . 5. Press or to set the minute then press . 6. Press to return t o the previous menu level.
R eset Y ou can restor e all the adjustable settings back to their original factory settings. The Par ent and Baby units are reset individually . 1. Press to switch the unit off . 2. Press again to switch the unit back on. 3. While the unit is switching on, press and hold until you hear a beep.
