Extra Rinse This appli ance is design ed for saving energy. I f it neces- sary to rinse the laundry using an extra quantity of w ater (extra rinse), selec t this option.
Daily use Load the laundry Open the door by carefully pulling the door handle outwards. Pl ace the laun- dry in the drum, one item at a time, shaking them out as much as possible. Close th e door. Measure out the detergent and the fabric softener Pull out the dispenser drawer until it stops.
Interrupting a programme Press the button 6 to interrupt a programme which is running, the corr esponding gr een pilot light starts blink- ing. Press the button agai n to restart the progr amme. Cancelling a programme Turn the selector dial to « O » to cancel a programme which is running.

Problem Possible cau se/Solution The washing machine d oes not sta rt: The door has not been closed (the button 6 red light blinks). • Close the door firmly. The plug is not properly in serted in the power socket. • Insert the plug into the power socket.

Remove the dr awer by pressing the catch down - wards and by pulling it out. Flush it out un der a tap, to remove any t races of accumulated powde r. To aid cleaning, the top part of the additive com- partment sh ould be re- moved.
Turn off the water tap. Un- screw the water inlet hose. Clean the filter using a hard bristle brush. Tighten up the inlet hose. Frost precaution If the machine is e xposed to temperatures below 0°C, certain precautions should be tak en. • Turn off the water tap.
Unscrew the three bolts . Slide out th e relevant pla s- tic spa cers. Open the porthole an d re- move the polystyrene block fitted on the door seal. Fill the smaller upper hole and the two large ones with the correspondi ng plastic plu g caps supplied in the bag containing the instruction booklet.
Hooked over the edge of a sink using the plastic hose guide supplied with the machine. In this case , make sure the end cannot co me unhooked when the machine is empty ing. This could be done by tying it to the tap with a piece of string or attaching it to the wall.
• Normally soiled laundry may be washed without pre- washing in order to sa ve detergent, water a nd time (the environmen t is protecte d too!). • The machine w orks more econom ically if it is fully loaded. • With adequate pre- treatment, stains and limited soiling can be removed; the laun dry can then be washed at a lower temp erature.
