4 Your New Washing Machine Your new washing machine meets all modern requirements for effective treatment of laundry with low water, energy and detergent consumption. l The programme selector dial combines the function of programme and temperature selection, making it easier to set the programme.

6 1 Pr ogr amme guide Pr ogr amme Option buttons Depending on the programme, different functions can be combined. These must be selected after choosing the desired programme and before depressing the “ Start / Pause ” button. When these buttons are pressed, the corresponding pilot lights come on.
7 After the machine has started, only the running phase pilot light stays on. The “ End ” pilot light flashes in the event of operating problems: - 4 flashes = the door has not been closed - 2 flashes = the machine does not empty - 1 flash = the machine does not fill T o eliminate the problem, see paragraph “Something not working”.
8 Operating Sequence Before the first wash, we recommend that you pour 2 litres of water into the main wash compartment of the detergent drawer in order to activate the ECO valve. Then run a cotton cycle at 90°C, without any laundry in the machine, to remove any manufacturing residue from the drum and tub.
9 6. Star t the pr ogr amme Before starting the machine check that: l the appliance is plugged in l the water supply tap is turned on l the drain hose is correctly and securely positioned l the door and the detergent dispenser drawer are closed.
10 W ASHING 2 KG OF MIXED F ABRICS A T 50°C Suppose you have 2 kg of lightly soiled mixed fabrics to wash. They are rather delicate fabrics and should not be washed at a high temperature. 1. Load the laundr y Open the door by carefully pulling on the door handle outwards.
11 T o start the selected programme, press the “ Start / Pause ” button; the corresponding light stops flashing. Only the “ washing ” pilot light stays on. The machine starts operating. 8. At the end of the pr ogr amme The machine stops automatically .

17 Maintenance and Cleaning Before any maintenance or cleaning is carried out you must DISCONNECT the appliance from the electricity supply . Descaling The water we use normally contains lime. It is a good idea to periodically use a water softening powder in the machine.
18 • When no more water comes out, unscrew the pump cover and remove it. Always keep a cloth nearby to dry up spillage of water when removing the cover . • Remove any objects from the pump impeller by rotating it. • Put the cap back on the emergency emptying hose and place the latter back in its seat.
19 Certain problems are due to lack of simple maintenance or oversights, which can be solved easily without calling out an engineer . Before contacting your local Service Force Centre, please carry out the checks listed below . During machine operation it is possible that the “ End ” light flashes to indicate that the machine is not working.

23 Important ! Y ou are advised to keep all the packaging for re-use in case the machine is to be transported again. In case of moving out the same precautions as per paragraph “The dangers of freezing” must be taken i.e. the residual water in the hoses must be pumped out.
24 W ater inlet Connect the hose to a tap with a 3/4” thread. Do not use previously used hoses for water connection. Installation should comply with local water authority and building regulations’ requirements. The appliance must be connected to a cold water supply .
25 2. Onto a sink outlet spigot. If the outlet spigot has not been used before, remove any blanking plug that may be in place. Push the drain hose onto the spigot and secure with a clip if required, ensure a loop is formed in the drain hose (see diagram) to prevent waste from the sink entering the washing machine.
26 Electrical connection Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. W ARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EAR THED. The manufacturer declines any liability should this safety measure not be observed.
