4 OPERA TION Bef ore using Remov e all securing tapes. W ash inside the appliance with luke warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water).
5 Normal Operating Sounds • Y ou ma y hear faint gurgling or b ubbling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing at the rear , to the cooling plate/e vaporator or to the fix ed freezer shelv es.
6 P ositioning the inner shelves The walls of the refrigerator are equipped with runners so that shelves can be positioned as desired. D338 P ositioning the door shelves T o per mit storage of f ood packages of v ar ious sizes , the door shelves can be adjusted in height.
7 • K eep the time between buying chilled f ood and placing it in your fridge as shor t as possible . T ests showed that the temper ature of 1 litre of orange juice rose to 22°C in an hour between the super market and home. It then took 11 hours to get down to 7°C in the refrigerator .
8 Defr osting Refrigerator The refrigerator automatically defrosts ev er y time the compressor stops. The water is discharged, via the pipe , into a tra y located at the back of the appliance abo ve the compressor , where it ev aporates.
9 Freezer When the frost has reached a thickness of up to 4mm it can be remov ed using the ice scraper provided with the appliance . During this operation it is not necessar y to disconnect the appliance from the mains and remov e the food. Ne ver use metal tools f or this operation.
