6 ZMB 30CST t Ecologically responsib le disposal of pac kaging materials and old appliances P ac kaging materials ZANUSSI microw a v e ov ens require eff ective pac kaging to protect them during transpor tation. Only the minimum pac kaging necessar y is used.
7 Impor tant inf ormation ZMB 30CST t Connecting to the mains • The ov en is deliv ered with the po wer cord and a plug f or 230-240 V , 50Hz, ear thed sock et outlet. • Ear th protection minimizes the risks should a shor t-circuit occur . Check to ensure the v oltage of the ov en matches the supply .
8 ZMB 30CST t General • The appliance should only be operated with the turntable and turntable suppor t inser ted. • Only suitable micro w a v e ov enware should be used. • T o protect the appliance against corrosion from moisture (condensation) in the cavity or on the door , wipe these areas dry after each use.
9 ZMB 30CST t Safety instructions • Whenev er heating liquid, please also place a teaspoon in the container to av oid delay ed boiling. During delay ed boiling, the boiling temperature is attained without the typical steam bub b les rising.
10 ZMB 30CST t • The viewing windo w heats up during grilling and conv ection cooking (and in combination with microw a v e cooking), so k eep small children aw a y from the appliance. • The cooking area, the grill heating elements, the rac k, and the turntable become v er y hot during all modes.

16 ZMB 30CST t The tur ntab le and tur ntable support should be installed as shown in the diag ram. T ake care to ensure the tur ntab le suppor t is proper ly in place. The tur ntable ma y tur n clockwise or counterclockwise during operation. Do not tr y to rotate the tur ntable support manually , as you could damage the driv e mechanism.
17 ZMB 30CST t Setting the c loc k Example: 12:15 hr s 1. Plug the appliance into the mains. «12:00» together with the clock symbol flashes in the displa y . 2. Set the time of da y , e.g. 12:15 with the selector knob 1) . Press ST ART , the appliance is now ready f or use.
18 ZMB 30CST t Action 1.Place f ood in the cooking space. 2.Shut the door . 3.Select the time and mode of cooking according to the instructions given on the f ollowing pages . 4. If required : s witch off the tur ntable . 2) 5.Press the ST AR T b utton .
19 ZMB 30CST t Action • Open the door e.g. f or stirring. • Shut the door and press the ST ART b utton . • Press the CLEAR button once. • Press the CLEAR button twice. • Modify the selected cooking time: tur n the selector knob cloc kwise or anti-clockwise .
20 ZMB 30CST t Micro wa ve In this mode, micro wa ves generate heat directly in the f ood. This mode is highly suitable f or war ming, f or e xample , ready cook ed f ood and drinks, the defrosting of meat or v egetab les, and f or cooking f ood lik e fish and v egetab les.
21 ZMB 30CST t How to set Example: 1 minute 15 seconds on micr o wa ve output level 700 W 1. Press the MICRO W A VE button , 900W and the microw a v e symbol appear in the displa y together with the clock symbol and 00:00. Set the microw a v e pow er b y pressing the MICRO W A VE button till the desired micro w av e power is displa y ed, e.

23 ZMB 30CST t How to set The ST ART b utton provides full micro wa ve pow er f or 1 minute . Each time you push the ST ART b utton , the programme length i s increased b y 1 minute . Example : heating 2 cups of water (2 min) 1. Press the ST ART b utton twice.

27 ZMB 30CST t How to set Example: a 20 minute con vection programme at 200°C 1. Press the CONVECTION button . The corresponding symbol and the preset temperature , 150°C , appear in the displa y together with the cloc k symbol and 00:00 . 2 . Set the desired temperature, e.
28 ZMB 30CST t How to set Example: a 20 minute con vection programme at 200°C and 150W micr owa ve po wer 1. Press the CONVECTION button . The corresponding symbol and the preset temperature , 150°C , appear in the displa y together with the clock symbol and 00:00.

42 The Appliance Exterior Wipe the front of the appliance using a soft cloth and a mild, warm detergent solution. Do not use abrasiv e cleaning substances , strong detergents or coarse abrasiv e cleaning materials. Do not clean the appliance with a steam cleaner .
