2 TABLE OF CONTENTS FINDING MODEL NUMBER This Operator’s Manu al is an important part of your new chipper shredder vacuum. It will help you assemble, prepa re and maintain the unit for best perfo rmance.

6 Attaching The Nozzle • Remove thre e wing nuts from the front of the chipper shredde r vacuum. • Place nozzle in position over th e three studs on unit and secure with wing nuts just re moved.
7 Starter Handle (Not Shown) The starter handle is loc ated on th e engine. Pu ll the starter handle to sta rt engine. Engine Controls See the separat e engine manual for the location and function of the co ntrols on the eng ine.
8 • Pull rope with a rapid , continuous, full arm stroke. Keep a firm grip on starte r handle. Let rope rewind slowly. • Repeat the pr evious steps until engine fires. When engine star ts, move choke cont rol (if equ ipped) gradually to RUN position.
9 Figure 7 Nozzle Door Height Adjustment The nozzle adjustment lever s are located on each side of the nozzle door. The nozzle door can be adjusted to any of five positions, ranging from 1/2” to 3” ground clearance that will provide th e best performance for the operating co nditions.
10 Maintenance Engine Refer to the separate en gine manual for all engine maintenance instructions. • Check engine oil level before each use as instructed in the separ ate engi ne manual packed with your unit. Read and follow instructions carefully.
11 Sharpening Or Replacing Chipper Blades NOTE: When tipping the unit, empty the fuel tank an d keep spark plug side up . • Disconnect the spark plug wire and g round it against the engine . • Remove the flail scr een as instructed in the previous section.
12 • Thread the sp ecial impe ller tool into the cr ankshaft . Stop when the impeller assembly ca n move on the crankshaft. • If the old belt is still on th e unit, cut belt to remove from unit. • Remove the impeller assembly from the crankshaft and unthread the special impeller tool from the impeller assembly.
13 Storing Y our Chipper Shredder V acuum • Clean the equipment thoroughly. • Wipe equipment with an oiled rag to prevent rust. • Refer to eng ine manual for correct engin e storage instructions • Store unit in a clean, dry area. Do n ot store next to corrosive materials such as fertilizer.
