7 SECT IO N 5: OP ER ATION OPERA TING CONTROLS SHIF T LEVE R The shift l ev er is lo cated in t he cen ter of the h andle panel. T he shift le ver ma y be moved into one of eight positio ns. Run engi ne with throttle in the f ast position . Use the s hift lev er to deter min e ground sp eed.
8 THR OTTLE CO N TR O L The thrott le control is loc ated on the engin e. It regu- lates the speed of the engi ne. See Figure 10. BEFORE ST ARTING WARNING: Observe all Warn ing Labels on the sn ow thro wer prio r to use. Se e Fig ure 2 . Your snow thrower is shipped with oil; however, you must c heck the o il level befor e operating .
