E- 1 English Intr oducing the YST -MS35D Speaker System Thank you for purchasing the Y amaha YST -MS35D Po wered Multimedia Speakers. The YST -MS35D Multimedia Speak ers utilize Adv anced Y amaha Activ e Servo T echnology , which offers e xception- ally high performance, allowing these compact speak ers to produce a rich bass sound.
E- 2 Contr ols & Connectors 1 USB INPUT Use the included USB cable to connect this port to the USB port on the computer . 2 TO RIGHT SPEAKER Connect the 8-pin cable from the right satellite speaker to this connector . 3 INPUT 1/2 Y ou can input two audio sources to the speaker system from these input jacks.
E- 3 English Installing USB driv er When connecting this unit and your computer with the USB cable and controlling this unit from the computer , you must install the following softw are on your com- puter . • USB driver softwar e : Necessary for this unit to communicate with your computer .
E- 4 Installing the software ■ Installing and checking the USB driver 1. T ur n on your computer and, if it’ s not running already , start Windows 98/98SE or Windows Me. 2. Connect the power cord (or A C adaptor) to a suitable A C outlet. This unit can be on or in standby mode when installing the driv er .

Connect the power cord (or A C adaptor) to a suitable A C outlet. This unit can be on or in the standby mode when installing the driv er .
E- 7 English Make the follo wing settings on your computer after the installation of the driv er is finished. Setting of A udio and A udio CD 1. Click the Windows “Start” b utton and select “Settings”, and then “Control P anel”. 2. Double-click the “Sounds and Multimedia” icon.
E- 8 ■ Connections and setup 1. Connect the power cord (or A C adaptor) to a suitable A C outlet. 2. Start the Macintosh. 3. Connect this unit to a USB port on the com- puter using the supplied USB cable. The driv er software for USB audio is automati- cally installed.

E- 10 Speaker angle and Non skid pad Y ou can adjust the speaker angle. Loosen the screw on the bottom of the speak er stand as shown in the figure, adjust the angle of the stand, and tighten the screw to fix the stand.
