This means that y ou can play a song that is normall y a ballad, for e xample, as a bossa nov a, as a hip-hop tune, etc.

MIDI is a worldwide stan- dard that allo ws these devices to send and receive performance and setting data.

Channel messages transmit information such as Note ON/OFF , Program Change, for each of the 16 channels.
