Since heat and deposits will cause any spark plug to slowly erode, the spark plug should be removed and checked in accordance with the periodic mainte- nance and lubrication chart.

Do not use oils with a diesel specification of “ CD ” or oils of a higher quality than specified.

Tap the tailpipe lightly, and then use a wire brush to remove any carbon deposits from the spark ar- rester portion of the tailpipe and in- side of the tailpipe housing. 3. Insert the tailpipe into the muffler, and then install and tighten the bolt to the specified torque.

To loosen the drive chain, turn the adjusting nut at each end of the swingarm in direction (b), and then push the rear wheel for- ward.
