8 Getting star ted The MusicCAST system uses a w ireless network to connect the MusicCAST ser v er and MusicCA ST clients, which call up and pla y songs stored in the MusicCAST server . Y ou can use a MusicCAST client anywhere where it can receiv e wireless netw or k signals from the MusicCAST server .
Getting started Getting star ted 9 The MusicCAST system consists of tw o components, the MusicCAST se r v er and the MusicCAST client, which allow y ou to store music and play it bac k in multiple locations. Y ou can store many of the CDs in your collection and pla y them bac k whenev er you w ant, rather lik e a Juk e bo x.

Getting started Getting star ted 11 Fr ont panel 1 ST ANDBY/ON Switches the MusicCAST server between standby and p ower on modes. Press and hold ST ANDBY/ON for two seconds to place all MusicCAST cl ients in sleep mode and place the MusicCAST server in standby mode.

L ANALOG REC LEVEL control Controls the recording level when recording from a source connected to the ANALOG IN jacks. Video signals from the S VIDEO IN and VIDEO IN jacks are passed directly to the S VIDEO OUT and VIDEO OUT jacks respectively, and are not processed in the MusicCAST server at all.

57 57 Editing Editing The MusicCAST ser v er organize s the songs it stores by song, artist, album , and genre name. Although you can store songs without p roviding this inf or mation, findin g the songs listen is much easier if the rele vant names are stored toge ther with the songs.
