19 Using the projector English U sing the pr ojector Pr eparations 1. Plug in and turn all of the c onnected equipment on. 2. If not alread y in, plug the supplied pow er cable into the A C inlet on the rear of the project or and turn on the power switch.

21 Using the projector English Y ou ca n change the projected image ratio (no matter what aspect the source is) by using the Aspect buttons on the remot e control or in the Display > Aspe ct Rat io OSD menu. Se lect an aspe ct rati o to suit the format of the video signal and your displa y requir ements.
22 Using the projector English 4. Other adjustments Y ou can adjust Brightness, Contrast, Color , and Tint settings using the Picture menu or w ith the remote control. Some picture adjustments are available only when certain input sources are in use. Unavailab le adjustments are not shown on the screen.

These settings do not affect the projection settings, operat ion, or performance. • Language in Setup menu sets your familiar language for the on-scr een menus.

25 Menus English Us i n g t h e m e n u s The projector is equipped with on-screen displa y (OSD) menus for making various adjustments and sett ings. There are eight different men u languages. See page 24 for more details. The following example describes the adjustment of the key stone.
26 Menus English Picture menu The Picture menu allo ws you to adjust the finer details of the projected image quality . Before making adjustments, you are suggested to c hoose a desired preset mode in this menu which has set some certain values in order to meet differ ent ligh ting enviro nment and presentation purposes.

Aspe ct Ra tio : There are a few aspect ratios that can be selected for different video signals. See page 20 for detai ls. 2. PIP G in V : Displays one input fr om the Graphic Gr oup within one inp ut from the V i deo Group .

Background Color : Allows you t o choose t he color of the background screen that w ill be displayed when there is no input signal detected. 2. OSD Off (Secs) : Sets the length of time the OSD will remain active after y our last button pr ess.

30 Menus English The 3D Color Management c ontains 3 user-definabl e Fa vorite C olor settings and one Default Color Space setting system wide, not ass ociated with any particular input. The only thing y ou have to do on a regular basis is keep the lens clean and clean or replac e the air filter . Never remo ve an y part s of the projector ex cept the lamp or the air filter .
32 Additional information English T o clean the filter: 1. Shut down the pr ojector if turned on and wait until the fans stop running. 2. R elease the bottom edge of the filter cov er (rig ht si de of p roj ec tor ) by ge nt ly pu ll in g t he ta bs o n t he lower e nds of the panel (as illustrated).
33 Additional information English Installing the cable c onnector -panel cov er The cable connecto r-panel co ver is used to cov er those unsightly cables and connections in the rear of the projector aft er all of the cable connections hav e been done.
34 Additional information English Re p l a ci ng th e l am p The lamp may be very hot. Allo w the projector to coo l for at least 45 minutes befo re replacing the lamp. This lamp contains mercury . Consult your local hazardou s waste regulations to dispose of this lam p in a proper ma nner .

36 Additional information English T r oubleshooting Problem Cause Remedy The proj ector does not turn on. There is no po wer from the powe r cable. Plug the po wer cable into the A C inlet on the rear of the projector , and plug the power cable into to the powe r outlet.
