Operation 25 Us i n g t h e m e n u s The pr ojector is eq uipped with On-Scree n Display (O SD) menus fo r making various adjustments and settings. Below is the overview of the OSD menu. The following example descr ibes how to set the OSD language. 1.
Operat ion 26 Securing the projecto r U sing a securit y cable lock The pr ojector has to be installed in a safe place to prev ent theft. Otherwise, purcha se a lock, such as the K ensington l ock, to secure the projector. Y ou can locate a K ensington loc k slot on the rear side of the projector .

Operation 31 Optimizing the i mage Selectin g a pictu re mod e The projec tor is preset wi th severa l predefined pic ture modes so that yo u can choo se one t o suit y our operating environment and input signal pic ture ty pe. T o select an operation mod e that suits your need, you can follow one o f the following steps.
Operat ion 32 Us i n g W a l l C o l o r In the situation where you ar e projecting ont o a colored surfac e such as a painted wall which may not be whit e, the Wall Color feature can help correct the pr ojected picture ’ s color to prev ent possible co lor differe nce between the source and project ed pictures.
Operation 33 *About c olor temperatures: There are man y differ ent shades tha t are c onsider ed to be " white" for various purposes. One of the common methods of representing white color is known as the “color tempera ture” . A white color with a low color te mperature appear s to be redd ish white.
Operat ion 34 Saturation is the amount of that color in a video picture. Lower settings produce less saturated colors; a setting of “0” removes that color from the im age entirely . If the saturation is too high, that color will be overpow ering and unrealistic.
Operation 35 Press FREEZE on the remote control to freeze the image. Th e word ' FREEZE ' will display in the screen. T o r elease th e function, press any key on the pro je ctor or remo te cont rol . Ev en if an image is frozen on the screen, the pictures are running on the video or othe r device.

Operat ion 38 • Menu display time in the SYSTEM SETUP: Basic > Menu Settings menu sets the length of time the OSD will remain activ e after your last ke y p re ss . T he t im e l en gt h r an ges f rom 5 to 30 seconds in 5-se cond increments. Use / to selec t a suitable tim e frame.

Operat ion 40 1. Connect the BenQ w ireless dong le (optio nal) to the TYPE-A USB input jack of the projector . 2. Make sure the projector is tu rned on. 3. From the OSD menu, go to SYSTEM SETUP: Advanced > Network Settings > Wireless LAN , and press MODE/ENTER .

Operation 43 The Information pa ge displays the info rmation and status of this pr ojector . The Conference Control page allows you to control c omputer’ s display status of all the computers linked to this projector .
Operat ion 44 The Crestron page is only available when you are on a W ired LAN network. It also allo ws you t o control the pr ojector remote ly . The Crestron supports RoomV iew version 6.2.2.9. i. These buttons function the sam e as the ones on the OSD menus or remote contr ol.
Operation 45 The tools page a llows you t o manage the pr oj ector , configur e the LAN co ntrol settings and secure access of remote network operation on this projector . i. Y ou can name the projector, keep track of its lo cation and the person in charge of it.
Operat ion 46 The info page displays the informat ion and status of this projecto r . i. Pr ess exit to go back to th e Crestr on remote netw ork operation page. The Admi n page allows y ou to enter Basic, W i red LAN, W ireless LAN and M ail pages once the passwor d is entered.
Operation 47 The Basic page allo ws you to c hange the passwor d and select connect ed persons. The number of connected persons may affect the network display performance.
Operat ion 48 The Wireless LAN page allows y ou to adjust the W irless LAN setting s. Max. length for SSID string is 16 bytes. Pl ease use a different SSID when more than two projectors are connecting through wireless LAN. The Mail page allows y ou to send ale rt e-mail to y our ITS administrat or .
Operation 49 Displaying image through Q Pr esenter The Q Presenter is an application r unning on the ho st PC. It connects to an available network display and transfers the desktop conten ts to the netw ork display via local netw ork con ne ct ion . Be sure to turn off other virtual network control programs before using Q Presenter.
Operat ion 50 ii. Projectors linked in the LAN wil l be found. Then se lect the projector you want to link. iii. Click “ Connect” . Then y ou should be able to see the image on projector . iv . Y ou can click to disconnect all connected projectors.
