9 Meat Thermo meter On models wit hout a temperatu re probe, always rely on a meat thermometer to determine donenes s of meat and poultry . The inter nal temperature, not app earance, is wha t counts. A meat thermometer is not sup plied with this appli ance.
10 Baking and Roasting Before baking an d roasting, posit ion the racks according to th e “ Positioning Racks an d Bakeware ” section. When roasting , it is not necess ary to wait for the oven to preheat before put ting food in, u nles s r eco mm ended in th e r ec ipe.
11 RANGE CARE Self-Clea ning Cycle (on some models) IMPORT AN T : The health of some birds is extremely sensi tive to the fumes give n off during the Sel f-Cleaning cyc le. Exposure to the fume s may result in death to certain birds. Alway s move birds to another clos ed and well-venti lated room.
12 ST AINLESS STEEL (on some mo dels) Do not use soap-fil led scouring pad s, abrasive clean ers, Cooktop Polishing Cr eme, steel -wool pads, gritty washcloths or some paper towels.
13 BROILER P AN AND GRID (on som e models) Do not clean in the Self-Cleaning cycl e. ■ Mildly abrasive cl eanser: Scrub with wet scour ing pad. ■ Solution of ¹₂ cup ( 125 mL) ammonia t o 1 gal. ( 3.75 L) wa ter: Soak for 20 minutes, th en scr ub with sc ouring or ste el-wool pad.
14 4. Insert the door stop cli p with the angular surface a t the to p of the frame hinge s lot, then pu sh in the bottom of t he clip until flanges are flush with the front frame. 5. Open the door complet ely and remove the door removal pins. Save door removal pi ns for fu ture use.
