5 U SING Y OUR D RIP C OFF EEMAKER – P REPARING C OFFEE 1. Place appliance on dr y, leve l, heat-re sistant surface, away from any edge. 2. Plug cord into a 120 volt AC electric outlet only . 3. Open the hinged water reservoir and po ur in the desired quantit y of clean cool water for the number of cups you are bre wing.
6 C LEANING Y OUR D RIP C OFFEEMAKER 1. Switch coffeemaker off and unplug from electrical outlet. Allow the entire unit to cool before clea ning. 2. Remove and discard used grounds a nd di sposable filter from the brew basket. 3. Clean the brew basket, carafe and cover in a sol ution of warm water and mild liquid soap.
7 D ECALCIFYING Y OUR D RIP C OFFEEMAKER • The coffeemaker must be decalcified per io dically. Over time, mineral deposits build up on internal parts and effect the operation of the a ppliance. The frequency of decalcification d epends on the hardness of yo ur water and how often you use the Drip Coffeemaker.
