5 Quick Look at Y our Camera.
6 Prep are Y our Camera for use Install batteries Y our camera requires three A AA batteries (alkaline batteries recommended ). Please refer to the following instal lation instructions: 1. Open the battery compartment on the side of the camera. 2. Insert the alkaline batteries correctly , with the correct polari ty as s how n on the battery cover .
7 W ARNING: U nless you are using an S D memory c ard, opening the battery compar tment and removing the ba ttery will erase the t est pho tos currently store d in the camera. Download your photos as of ten as po ssible. Photos will be lost w hen the ca mera sw itc h es -off or whe n the batterie s run low .
8 Locate the SD me m ory card slot o n the b ottom of the camera and insert an SD memory card as above. Y ou will f eel and hear a “ Click ” s oun d. W hen the icon appears on the LCD screen this indicates that your SD card is installed correctly .
9 St arting Y our Digit al Cam era Power on Press the Power button once to turn on your c amera. The LCD will light up and the camera will emit a “ beep ” to indicate that yo ur camera is turned on and ready for use. Power off Press the Power button once t o turn off your camera.
10 Camera mod e is for you to t ake still photos . Y ou can shoot video fi les wh ile in Video mode. In Playback mode you can preview the photos/vide os you captured , rotate, protect, delete, crop and print your photos.

13 Camera mode Set t he m ode switch t o Camera Mode – th e icon will appear on the top right c orner of the LCD screen. T aking Photos 1. Hold the ca m era steady and compose your objec t as appears in the LCD screen. 2. Press the Shu tt er bu tt on and w ait a moment for the photo to be take n and saved to memory .
14 Macro/Far shooting The camera has the function that allows you to capture objects at very near (mac ro) or very far distances per your request. 1. Slide the Macro/ Far switch on the left side of the camera up to the position. 2. The icon will appear on the left hand side of the LCD screen and indicates tha t the macro shooting is on.
15 Note: A “ No Power ” message will appear on the LCD sc reen, if you select the flash f unction when the battery pow er is insufficient. T o continue using the camera with the fla sh, please inst all new batteries.
16 2. From the “This Im age” or “ This Video” message that appears, p ress Left/Right button to select “ Y es ” . 3. Press the Menu/OK button t o confirm and for the selec ted image to be deleted. At step 2, if you do not wish t o delete the photo select “ No ” by p ressing t he Up/Down button, then press the Menu/O K button.

18 1. After you have select ed you r scener y , the corresponding scenery icon will appear on the LCD. Some scene ry will automatically activate the flash fun ct ion after setting. The default scene is Auto. 2. Y ou can press the Lef t button for setting di fferent scene s quickly .
19 Note: The i m age size icon will appear on the right side of the LCD screen . Anti-Shake Y our Digital Camera has a function that preven ts photos coming out blurry as a result of t rembling or shaking when taking the photo. Because of this function , you ar e not required to use a tripod t o shoot steady pho tos.
20 1. Press the Menu /OK button. 2. Press the Right/Le ft button until yo u select the Setup menu. Exposure This setting allows you to con trol the brightness of your i m age s. 1. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the Ex posure option in the Setu p menu.
21 4. Press the Menu /OK button to confir m , save your s etting and ex it. ISO This setting allow s you to select the ISO setting that you want as per y our current conditions. 1. Press Up/Dow n button to select the ISO opt ion in the Setup menu. 2. Press the Menu /OK button.
22 3. Press the Up/Dow n button to choo se the best option – Auto / Dayl i ght / Cloudy / Tungst en / Fluorescent 4. Press the Menu /OK button to confirm and ex it. Sharpness This setting allow s you to adjust the sharpn ess of your images, making edges more or less distinct.
23 Quality The qua lity settings determine the number o f photos and t he am ount of memory required f or each photo. The better the quality , the more memory each photo will use. The quality will al so affect the m ax imum size you can prin t your pho to effectively .
24 2. Press the Menu /OK button. 3. Press the Up/Dow n button to select: O n - displays date on photos O ff - won ’ t show date o n photos Set date - setting the sy stem date 4. Press the Menu /OK button to confir m. If you wish to cha nge the date press the Set Date option: 1.
25 3. Press the Up/Dow n button to set the digit s for each of the date, time and format options. 4. Press the Men u/OK button to confi rm and exit. Auto Power O ff By default your ca mera will automatically pow er off if id le for 60 seconds. Use this option to chang e the time.

Format This function refor m at s the memor y c ard and will erase all files in memory including files that have been protected, plea se operate cautiously . 1. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the For mat option in the Setup m enu.
27 5. Press the Right/Le ft button to sele ct “ Ye s” to begin the for mat or “ No ” to exit. 6. Press the Menu /OK button to confir m and exit. Default Setting If you are not sure as to what s ettings have been activated on your c amera you can reset the camera to the or iginal factory settings.
28 Video Mode Move the mode switch to the center to a ctivate the Video m ode . The icon will appear on the top left corner of the LCD screen. 1. Press the Shutter button to begin shooting videos. The elapse time will appear on t he top right of the LCD screen.

33 Edit photos and videos Select a still photo you want to rotate , pro tect, delete , crop or print. Select a video you w ant to protect or delete . Rotate 1. Press the Menu /OK button. 2. Press the Right /Left button to select the Rotate menu option.

37 Print Y ou can pr int photos directly fr om the camera using the Pi ctbridge technology on yo ur printer . 1. Select a photo you want to print. 2. Press the Menu /OK button. 3. Press the Lef t/Right button to sele ct the Pictbridge menu option . 4.

39 Install the V ivitar Experience Image M anager Sof tware Wa rning: Do not plug y our camera into the co mputer until the sof tware inst allation is complet e Y ou must be connect ed to the internet to install and run the Vivita r Experience Image Manager sof tware.
40 Note: If you do no t have internet a cc ess, you can still download media f rom the camera. Click the “How to transfer photos an d videos from my camera to my computer” button for instructions.
