15 Setting the on-screen language Y ou can choose from three different languages (English, French and Spanish) f or the on-screen display s. Select the language you pre fer first, then proceed with the other menu options. 1 T o turn on the TV , press POWER .
16 NOTE: Memorizing channels is best accomplished during ev ening “PRIMETIME” hours, as mor e stations are broadcasting digital signals. Memorizing channels can only be accomplished while a station is broadcasting a digital signal to set that channel into memory .

20 Closed Caption WHA T IS CLOSED CAPTIONING? This television has the capability to decode and display Closed Captioned television pr ograms. Closed Captioning will display te xt on the screen f or hearing impaired view ers or it will translate and display te xt in another language.

26 Pla yback procedur e 1 Press TV/D VD to select D VD mode. 2 Place the disc in the disc slot with the label side facing f orward. (If the disc has a label.) Hold the disc without touching either of its surfaces, align it with the guides, and place it in position.
27 MP3/WMA/JPEG and Audio CD pla yback This play er can play back MP3/WMA/JPEG-data which has been recorded on CD-R or CD-R W . T o produce MP3/WMA/JPEG-data, you need a Windows-PC with CD-R OM drive and MP3/WMA/ JPEG-encoding softwar e (not supplied).
