9 How to use th e remote cont rol To navigate through the differe nt on-screen m enus of the set-top box, you us e the follo w in g keys: Enter the main m enu – or – returns to the m ain m enu fro m any subm enu. Move the cursor / selects subm enus.

17 Audio Using the AUDIO key you get another audio language, depending on the broadcasters. Press the A UDIO key to scroll though the languages offered.
18 3 Record a broadcast Use the CH+ / CH - keys to se lect the channel and broadcast you w ant to r ecord. Press the (record) ke y to start the recording. Pressin g the key repeated ly w ill set the recording time length in 30 m in ute increments, up to a m axi m um of 8 h ours.
19 Ho w to Use the On -Screen Menus You w ill get access to the entire operation and program m ing of the set -top box through the on -screen m ain menu and the su bm enus.

22 Editing of Channels Via the Chan nel Edit or menu you can delete, change nam es, etc. of the different channels. Bes ide s you have access to create and edit your lists of favou rite channels. The info line displays which functions the coloured keys have in the Channel Edi tor w in dow.
23 In edit mode you select one channel at a tim e in the list to the left . P ressing the OK key th e channel is moved to the favourite list which is placed to the right. Moving the cursor to the favourite list yo u can cha nge the order of the channel s us ing the OK key and the C H+ / CH - keys.
24 Using the Time r F un ction Selecting Tim er in the m ain menu you get access to program the set -to p box to record a broadca st if you h ave connected an externa l hard disk or USB stick t o the se t -top box. By selecting the Tim er ico n in the m ain m enu you enter the timer list.
25 Note Below the fields used for setting the t imer you get infor m ation about the m aturi ty rating of your Conax s m art card. You change the m aturi ty rating by se lecting th e Card info icon in the m ain m enu.
26 Customizing the S et -t op Box By selecting Settings in the m ain m enu you get access to si x subm enus which will help you customize the set-to p box . By custom izi ng the set-top box you determine the lang uage of the menus, w hich ch annels you w ant to r eceive, w hich cha nne ls you want to lock, aspect ra t io etc.

29 Through the Channel Lock function you c an block certain channels so access to them is onl y poss ible after entering the PIN code. Select the channel you want to lock and press OK to activate t he lock. A locked c hannel will be m arked with a small key i n the ch annel list.
30 Channel sear ch The set-top box offers 3 different w ays of searchi ng for channe ls: A utom atic search , Manual search and Ad vanced s earch . LCN Logi c Channe l Num beri ng on/off. Som e broadcasters offer LCN suppo rt and in those cases the order of the channels after a search will always be prioritized correctly.
