Qosmio X500 Maintenance Manual (960-Q08) Preface This maintenance manual describes how to perform hardware service maintenance for the Toshiba Personal Computer Qosmio X500 Series. The procedures described in this manual are intended to help service technicians isolate faulty Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) and replace them in the field.

To determine if the power supply is functioning properly, start with Procedure 1 and continue with the other Procedures as instructed.

2 Troubleshooting Procedures Procedure 2 Connection Check The wiring diagram related to th e power supply is shown below: Any of the connectors may be disconnected. Perform Check 1. Check 1 Make sure the AC adapter and the AC power cord is firmly plugged into the DC IN connector PCN3 and wall outlet.

NOTES : Before starting the Tests and Diagnostics software: 1.
Test Program for Field. 3.2 Executing the Diagnostic Test DOS is required to run the Diagnostics Program. To start the programs follow these steps: 1. Create a DOS bootable disk and copy all the files from the Tests and Diagnostics software to the disk.
