Lightning For additional protection on this camera during a lightning storm , or w hen it is left unattended and unused for long period s of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the power supp ly and cable system. Th is will prevent damage to the camera due to lightning and power-line surges.

7 Notes on Use and Installation Do not aim the camera at th e sun Never aim the camera at the sun even wit h the camera power off. Do not shoot int ense light Intense light such as a spotli ght may cau se a blo om or smear . A vertical stripe may appear on the screen.

10 Hardw are Reset Occasionally resetting the system can return the camera to normal ope ration. If the system problems remain a fter resetting, restore the fac tory settings and install a gain. The IK- W P41A has a res et terminal and default te rminal.
1 1 Installation Hardw are Installation Please verify that your product pa ckage contains all the accessories listed in the Package Contents listed on page 7. Depending on the user’s application, an Ethernet cable may be needed. The Ethernet cable should meet t he sp ecs of UT P C ategory 5e or higher.

13 4. If it is the first time installing the network camera, an information bar will pop up a s shown below. Follow the instru ctions to install the required plug-in on your computer. NOTE: The administrator log-in ID and password are set to "admin" and to "1234" respectively by default.
14 3. Refresh your web browser, then install the Active X® control. Follow the instructions to complete insta llation. Using RTSP Pla yers To view the H.264 stream ing media using RTSP player, you can u se VLC media player. And set the RTSP port to 554.

38 The network camera automat ically stores images in the SD card when images cannot be recorded in the server due to a network failure, or other trouble. The stored images can be transferred to the F TP s erver w hen the network status or other troubles are re solv ed.

40 A udio Y ou can setup audio setting. Refer cable connect ion shown page 17 in QSG. Format: Support three audio Video Codec formats of PCM, G71 1-Alaw and G71 1-Ulaw . Audio Input: Set to "ON" when rece iving audio from a microphone connected to the camera.

42 Camera Name: Ente r your camera name. Thi s name is displayed a s the camera name of Configurat ion w indo w and on the frame of Internet explorer of a Live Video window . DHCP (Def ault is ‘ON’.): The IP address is automatically obtained when you select “ON”; otherwi se, se lect “OFF” to setup the static IP address.
43 Server . Enter a user ’s id in the “User ID” field. Enter a password in the Pa ssword field. Re-enter a password to conf irm it. Finally , click Save to save the settings. FTP Server This section explains how to conf igure the FTP serv er fo r the network camera.
44 Administrator Password A dmini strator Informa tion: Y ou can setup User ID and pa ssword. The default setting for adm inistrator ID and password are: Admin: ID: admin Password: 1234 Y ou can adjust your unique Ad ministrator ID and password at this field.
45 Enter an ID in the User ID field. Enter a password in the Pa ssword field. Re-enter the password again t o confirm. Finally , click “Sa ve” to save the settings. Date/Time Date and T ime setting Enter the date and time to set up system time manually .
46 Daylight saving Select ON to activate the daylig ht-saving fun ction if y ou are in a daylight- saving time (effective for NTP mode only). FW Update Y ou can update system firm ware once the update file is available. It is the customer's responsibility to update firmware.
47 E xport Configuration Settings This function is designed to export configuration settings to the client PC. Re store Factory Default This function is designed to reset all configuration settings into factory default except for IP address, ID/Password and Camera Name.
