Operatin g the MC9000 -K/S 2-23 Keypad Special Functions The keypad special fun ctions are color coded on the keypads. For ex ample, on the 53-key keypad, th e display backlight icon is b lue indicating that the bl ue function ke y must be selected first to access the display backlight.

The aiming pattern is u sed to position the bar cod e or object within the field of view .
Operatin g the MC9000 -K/S 2-39 2. The aiming pattern is smaller when the Imager is closer to the symb ol and larger when it is farther from the symbol. Scan symbols with smaller bars or elements (mil size) closer to the unit and those with larger bars or elements (mil size) farther from the unit.
MC9000-K/S for Embedded Windows® CE .NE T Product Referenc e Guide 2-40 Performing a Cold Boot A cold boot restarts the mobile compu ter and erases all user stored records and entries. Never perform a cold b oot unless a warm b oot does not solve the problem.

The pre- installed folders are in flash file system memo ry and optional removable storage devices (MMC storage cards).
