• Turn off the blades when not cutting. Before l eaving the machine, turn off the bla des and stop the engine. • Watch for traffic when operati ng near or crossing roadways. • Do not operate the cutter if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner or if the mower vibrates excessively.
5 OPERATING YOUR TRAILCUTTER The operation of any mower can produce foreign objects to be thr own into the eyes, result ing in severe eye damage. Always wear certified safe ty glasses or wide-vision safety goggl es over spectacles before staring an y cutting machine and while operating such a machi ne.
6 ENGAGING BLADES Note: Do not attempt to start the unit with the T-handle console in the ‘’ ENGAGED ’’ position. • Engage bl ades by pulling down the T-handle l ever into the horizontal position. • Return l ever to the vertical position to disengage blades.
7 CUTTER HEIGHT A DJUSTMENT • There is approxim ately 4 inches of height adjustment. • Rotate height adjust crank handle i n a clockwise direction t o lower the mower deck. counter-clockwise direction to lift the mower deck. • Dense areas of material should be cut twice.
8 GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS The warranty on this cutter does not cover items that have been subjected to operator abuse or negligence. To r eceive full value from the warra nty, operator must maintain unit as instructed in this manual. Some adjustments will need to be made periodically to ma intain your unit properly.
The unit is not cutting level. • Level deck. Check air pressure of all tires; make sure they are equal. See tires for maximum i nflation. • Without the engine running, make certain blades are installed identi cally.
