The BCD36MH model is fi tted with a blower and is available as an option for model BC36MH.

NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRA TIONS ARE NOT TO SCALE. 8 Step 4. Fireplace should be secured to side framing members using the full length nailing tabs at the top and bottom of the fi replace front face. Use screws, 8d nails or equivalent fasteners ( Figure 13 ) .

Plan your chimney requirements carefully before assembly as chimney is diffi cult to disassemble after installation.
NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRA TIONS ARE NOT TO SCALE. 10 Step 10. Using a CTD T ermination: 1. Hold the CTD over top of last chimney section ( Figure 27 ) . 2. Center inner slip section in inner fl ue pipe- slip down. 3. Center outer locking section over outer fl ue pipe.

The maximum height is 40' 0" when the chimney is exposed. T o determine the number of chimney sections and chimney components required, follow these steps: 1.

NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRA TIONS ARE NOT TO SCALE. 14 Offset Elbow Assembly Offset elbows install the same as chimney sections. First, snap the inner section INTO the preceding inner section of fl ue. Check connec- tion by pulling up slightly to ensure a tight fi t.
NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRA TIONS ARE NOT TO SCALE. 15 Gas Line Connection Install a 1/2” gas supply line through fi replace wall for connection to a decorative gas appliance inside the fi rebox. Outside, the gas supply line connects to a gas shut-off valve recessed fl ush into the wall or fl oor .

It is especially important to insulate between the studs of an outside chase cavity and under the fl oor if the fl oor is above ground level.

FINISH TO YOUR T ASTE There are a wide variety of “fi nished looks” for these fi replaces, from formal wall decor with elaborate mantels to rustic wood paneling or warm brick facings.
