1 Chapter 1 Introducing the SRC- 3000b Congratulations on your purcha se of the SRC-3000b Touch Screen Remote Control . The SRC-3000b is a digital universal r e m o t e c o n t r o l t h a t i s e a s y t o u s e , e n a b l i n g y o u t o c o n t r o l all of your electronic dev ices equipped with an infrared (IR) remote.

4 Chapter 2 Getting Started This chapter provides the information helping you to use th e SRC-3000b quickly. 2.1 Inserting the Batteries The SRC-3000b operates on three AAA alkaline batteries (not included in the package ). Batteries must be inserted before you can opera te the SRC-3000b.
2.1 Inser ting the Batteri es 5 2.1.2 Battery Tips and Precautions 1. The SRC-3000b wi ll not lose programmed data when batteries are replaced. 2. Please alway s use fresh batteri es. Alkaline ba tteries are recommended. Do not mix different types of batteries.
SRC-3000B User’s Manual 6 2.2 About the Touch Screen The Touch Screen cha nges the number of soft keys according to the device that is selecte d. 2.2.1 Turning the Touch Screen On Turn on the SRC-300 0b by touching the scr een. The SRC- 3000b turns itself off after 9 0 seconds of inactivity.
2.2 About the Touc h Screen 7 2.2.3 Using the Touch Screen Soft Keys The Touch Screen Sof t Keys enable y ou to operate the SRC- 3000b and y our devices. Yo u can use the se keys to program codes from your original remotes, to control your devices, an d to set up command seq uences call ed Macros.

NOTE: You can press to display all the availabl e icons. 4. Repeat step 3 to modify all desired keys. 5. After finishing customizing the layout, press to confirm the changes and leave the mo de.
3.2 Code and Learn Setti ng Key 11 3.2 Code and Learn Setting Key SRC-3000b is equipped with two functions, pre-code and Lear nin g F unc tion , to ge t th e ri ght cod es f or your tar get devices. Pre-Code You may configure all keys on SRC-3000b by entering a specific four-digit code number.
SRC-3000B User’s Manual 12 3.3 Using Pre-programmed Code to Program Devices You can follow these inst ructions to program a device by using pre-programmed codes. There are two ways f or you to collect the righ t codes within the function: A. Manually Programming remo te by Code.
3.3 Using Pre-programm ed Code to Program Devices 13 5. Locate your target device’ s four-digit code in Preprogrammed Code List and enter it. NOTES: a. Some codes are designed to opera te more than one model. It may take several trials to find the code that fits your device.

3.4 Using Learning Fun ction to Customiz e SRC-3000b 19 3.4.3 Deleting Key Code s and Device Codes You can follow these inst ructions to delete a code in a single key or all the codes in a devic e. 1. Press and hold the key for 3 seconds to enter the confirmation screen.
SRC-3000B User’s Manual 20 3.5 Resetting the SRC-3000b to Factory Defaults This function enable s you to reset the SRC-3000b t o the factory default configu ration. NOTE: All Macros and programmed key s will be del eted when you reset the SRC-3000b to fact ory defaults.
3.5 Resetting the SR C-3000b to Factory Defaults 21 7. The icon appears briefly on the screen to tell you that the SRC-30 00b returns to the factory defaults.
SRC-3000B User’s Manual 22 3.6 Macro Function A Macro includes a series of commands. Macro function enables you to init iate a sequence of up t o 60 commands just with a single key. You can use any key as your Macro key and insert t ime delays into the seque nce.
3.6 Macro Function 23 NOTE: If you select a key that already has been used as a Macro key, the new setting will replace the old Macro setting. 5. Press any key as the commands saved in the Macro key. NOTES: a. You can choose any key in any device. You just need to press the device ke y directly to select different keys.

All set ting s including MCU firmware, settings in the flash memory and pre-programmed codes will be transferred by transmission function described in Chapter 4 “Miscella neous Setting s.
36 Appendix C Troubleshooting Troubleshooting Tables Problem Solution LCD does not show anything when you touc h i t. 1. Batteries may be dead. Replace the batteries with three new AAA alkaline batteries (page 4) 2. Check that the batteries are properly i nstalled .

Make sure that your SRC 3000 has correctly learned the target device’s remote control code (pag e 15 ). 2. Delete the device data from th e SRC-3000b and carry out the learning functi on again (page 15 ).
SRC-3000B User’s Manual 38 Problem Solution IR LEARNING is not successful. 1. Replace batteries in the SRC- 3000b and the remote you are trying to configure. 2. Keep the distance between the remote control and th e SRC- 3000b’s learning eye to about 2~4 inch es.
