5 Setting the IP Address from a DHCP Server 1. A DHCP server will automatically assign an IP address (dynamic address) as well as Subnet Mask and Gate wa y to this adapter . If you power up the Adapter without a fix ed (static) IP address, the DHCP server will be able to assign an IP address (Note: By default, DHCP is disabled.
6 Setting the IP Address using the Em.ex e Utility 3. The Em.exe is a Microsoft Windows based utility used to identify the adapters connected on the same subnet and network segment. T o run the Em.ex e utility , please inser t the driver CD supplied with the Adapter .

10 Installing the VSP Virtual COM Port Driver Locate the necessary Software in the following f older on your driver 1. CD . The VSP COM.exe is the redirector softw are. The Em.exe is used to setup the hardware mode to support VSP redirector . Configure your hardw are mode to suppor t VSP .
11 Change the settings to • COM P ort , save the changes , and exit the setup menu. Run the 3. VSP Setup Program. Double clic k the • VSP COM.exe application in the VSP folder on the supplied CD . Y ou ma y receive a message indicating that this driver has not y et passed Windows logo testing.
