7 The safety tag (p/n 15875) at right is attached to the tool when shipped from the factory . Read and understand the safety instructions listed on this tag before removal.
8 HOSE TYPES Hydraulic hose types authorized for use with Stanley Hydraulic T ools are as follows: Certifi ed non-conductive Wire-braided (conductive) Fabric-braided (not certifi ed or labeled non-conductive) Hose listed above is the only hose authorized for use near electrical conductors.

11 6. If the bit binds in the hole, rev er se direction of t he bit rotation to assist in “ back ing out ” the dr ill. 7 . Keep the drill bit c entered in the hole. COLD WE A THER OP ER A T I ON If the drill is to be use d during c old weather , preheat t he hy draulic fl uid at low engine speed.
12 NOTE: It may be necessary to set the gauge at 650-700 psi/45-48 bar to overcome any pressure drop through the charg- ing system. 4. Open the valve on the charging assembly hose.

17 SER VICE Good maintenance practice keeps the drill on the job and increases its service life. The most important maintenance practice is to keep the hydraulic fl uid clean at all times. Contaminated hydraulic fl uid causes rapid wear and/or failure of internal parts.

T o remove the fl ow sleeve from the fl ow sleeve tube, re- move the automatic valve body and associated parts from within the fl ow sleeve removal tube and continue pushing on the fl ow sleeve until it drops out. Use a rag in the bottom of the removal tube to protect the automatic valve body when it drops out.
19 SER VICE 3. Place the motor plate on an aluminum plate latch end up in an arbor press. 4. Install latch parts with Latch Installation T ools (part num- bers 05062 and 05879) in the following order: a. Latch (in the open position) b. Latch W asher c.
20 SER VICE 7. Install the porting block into the end of the automatic valve body with proper roll pin alignment. 8. Place the fl ow sleeve assembly in a bench vise, being careful not to overtighten or distort the tube and install the accumulator valve block.
