Section 1A: Setting Up Service 3 Getting Started With Sprint PCS Service Determining if Y our Phone is Already Activ ated If you purchased y our phone at a Sprint Store, it is probably activated, unlock ed, and ready to use. If you receiv ed your phone in the mail, it probably has been activated; all y ou need to do is unlock it.

Place the battery co ver into the position as indicated in the diagram, and then slide it until y ou hear it snap into place.

Please see Section 2D: Con trolling Y our Roaming E xperience for more inf ormation about roaming.
