Introducing BeoV ision Av ant and Beo4 The Beo4 remote contr ol gives you access to all BeoVision Avant functions. When a function is used or changed, you are informed via displays on Beo4 or on top of the television. Switch on the television Switch on a Satellite channel.
Displayed information and screen menus Information about selected sources is displayed on top of BeoVision A vant. Menus on the screen allow you to switch on, adjust or switch off additional functions.
6 The operations shown on this page are functions you will use daily: – Choose a TV or Satellite channel by its number; – Switch to another channel or source; – Call a channel list up on the screen; – Adjust the position of the TV on its motorised stand; – Adjust the sound volume.
7 T urn the TV or adjust sound volume Adjust viewing position Y ou can turn the television on its built-in motorised stand via Beo4. Adjust or mute the sound volume Y ou can adjust or mute television sound at any time while you are using a source.
8 T eletext is an information system in video form used by most broad- casters to transmit news, weather forecasts and other information of general interest. If you select a channel and the broadcaster of fers a T eletext service, BeoVision Avant gives you access to T eletext pages.
9 When you switch on T eletext, BeoVision Avant pr ovides instant access to any page you wish to see, any subpages linked to that page, and also four memory pages for storage of your most frequently viewed T eletext pages. This means that you can get e.
10 All operation of the video tape recor der , apart from loading and unloading of a tape, is done via the Beo4 remote contr ol. Y ou can play , pause and stop a loaded tape, rewind and fast forward, or cue the tape backwar ds and forwards at two speeds.

12 With the V ideo Programming via T eletext (VPT) function in the video tape recor der , you can use T eletext TV listings when you preset A vant for recor ding of future programmes.
13 Record her e and now If you want to record the current programme or a programme about to begin, you can start recording immediately . Y ou can also watch another TV programme or switch Avant to standby while recording.
14 If your BeoVision Avant is equipped with a surround sound module, you can extend your system into a fully equipped Home Theatre system by connecting four Bang & Olufsen loudspeakers and a BeoLab 2 subwoofer*.
15 Make the picture fill out the scr een BeoVision A vant always ensures you the best possible picture. It automatically adapts the picture so that it fills out as much of the screen as possible. However , you can still choose a preferred format for Home Theatre viewing.
