23 GB Connections 4b: Connecting the video components Connect your video components according to the table below. * We recommend that you connect your video components via HDMI conn ection if they have HDMI jacks. You can watch the select ed input image when you connect the HDMI TV OUT or MONITOR OUT jack to a TV (page 20).

29 GB Connections 5: Connecting the antennas (aerials) Connect the supplied AM loop antenna (aerial) and FM wire antenna (aeri al). Before connecting antenna s (aerials), be sure to disconnect the AC pow er cord (mains lead). Notes • T o prevent noise pick up, keep the AM loo p antenna (aerial) away from the r eceiver and other components.
30 GB Initializing the receiver Before using the receiver for the first time, initialize the receiver by performing the following procedure. This procedure can also be used to return settings you have made to their initial settings. Be sure to use the buttons on the receiver for this operation.
31 GB Preparing the Receiver Note During the calibration, the sound that comes out of the speakers is very loud. The volume of the sound cannot be adjusted. Pay attention to the presence of children or to the effect on your neighbo rhood. Tip When you face the speaker towar ds the optimizer microphone, you will get a more accurate measurement.
32 GB The table below shows the display when measurement starts. * The corresponding speaker indicator lights up in the display during measurement. When measurement ends, “COMPLETE” appears on the display and the settings are registered. Tips • Operations other than turn ing the receiver on or off are deactivated during the measurement.
