11 Getting Started Getting Started Step 2 : Setting up the r emote commander Inserting the batteries Insert tw o R6 (size AA) batteries by matching the + and – on the batteries to the diagram inside the battery compartment. Insert the ne gativ e (–) end f ir st, then push in and do wn until the positiv e (+) end c licks into position.
12 Getting Started Notes • W ith normal use, the batteries should last about three to six months. • If you do not use the remote commander f or an extended per iod of time, r emo ve the batteries to av oid possib le dama ge fr om battery leakage. • Do not use a ne w ba ttery to gether with an old one.

36 Basic Operations Recor ding TV pr ogrammes using the Easy Timer The Easy Timer function allows y ou to make timer recor dings of pr ogrammes without turning on your TV . Set the recording timer to record up to eight programmes, including settings made with other timer methods, that will be broadcast within the next month.
