6 About this manua l About th is manu al • This manual main ly explains o perations using the remote, but the same operati ons can also be performed u sing the bu ttons on the DVD-VCR having t he same or si milar names . • “DVD” may be used as a ge neral term for DVD VIDEOs, D VD-R Ws/DVD-Rs, and D VD+R Ws/ DV D + R s .

Y our D VD- VCR can pick up this ti me signal to automa tically set th e clock. The Auto Clock Set feature works only if a channel in your area is broadc asting a time signal.

22 Setting the cloc k Notes • The clo ck cannot be set automat ically if you d o not receive a channel th at carries a tim e signal in your a rea. If so, set the cl ock manu ally (p age 22) . • If there a re only a few channels i n your area th at carry time signals, setti ng the clock autom atically may take up to a bout 20 m inutes.

24 Presetting channels Step 6 : Presetting ch annels This DVD-VCR is capable o f receiving VHF channel s 2 to 13, UHF chann els 14 to 69 and unscramble d CA TV channels 1 to 1 25. First, we recommend that you p reset the re cei vable channels in your are a using au tomatic presett ing method s.
