As a plas ter board wall is espec ially fragi le, attach the screws secure ly to a beam and faste n them to the wall.

You need to hold X until the set powers on. To reset to NTSC, turn off the system and then turn on again by pressing " / 1 while pressing and holding X on the system.

Playing Discs 31 GB Creating your own program (Program Play) (VIDEO CD, CD only) You can play the conten ts of a disc in the orde r you want by arranging the order of the tracks on the disc to create your own program. You can program up to 99 tracks. 1 Press DISPLAY.

Playing Discs 43 GB • You canno t search for a still picture on a DVD-RW in VR mode. You can search a DVD by title or chapter, and you can search a VIDEO CD/CD/DATA CD by track, index, or scene. As titles and tracks are assigned unique numbers on the disc, you can select the desired one by entering its nu mber.

46 GB Viewing the Playing Time and Remaining Time in the Front Panel Display You can check disc information, such as the remaining time, total number of titl es in a DVD, tracks in a VIDEO CD, CD, or MP3 using the front panel display (page 85). Press DISPLAY.

Sound Adjustments 49 GB When playing a DVD VIDEO recorded in multiple audio fo rmats (PCM, Dolby Digital or DTS), you can change the audio format. If the DVD VIDEO is recorded with multilingual tracks, you can also chang e the language.
50 GB • While playing a Super V CD on which the audio track 2 is not rec orded, no sound will come out wh en you select [2:STEREO], [2:1/L] , or [2:2/R]. Checking the audio signal format (DVD only) If you press AUDIO repeatedly during playback, the format of the current audio signal (PCM, Dolby Digital, DTS, etc.
Sound Adjustments 51 GB You can take advantage of surround sound simply by selecting one of system’s pre- programmed sound fiel ds. They bring the exciting and powerful sound of movie theaters into your home. Press SOUND FIELD. Each time you press SOUND FIELD repeatedly until the sound field you want appears in the front panel display.

54 GB If various angles (multi-angles) for a scene are recorded on a DVD VIDEO, you can chang e the viewing angle. For example, while playing a scene of a train in motion, you can display the view from either the front of the train, the left window of the train, or from the right window w ithout having the train’s movement interrupted.
Using V arious Additional Functions 55 GB You can set 2 kinds of playback restrictions for the desired disc. • Custom Parental Control You can set playback restrictions so that the system will not play inappropriate disc s.
56 GB To turn off the Custom Parental Control function 1 Follow steps 1 through 3 of “Preventing playback of specific discs [CUSTOM PARENTAL CONTROL].” 2 Press X / x to select [OFF t ], then press ENTER. 3 Enter your 4-digit password using the number buttons, then press ENTER.

60 GB THEATRE SYNC allows you to tu rn on your SONY TV and this system, changes the system mode to “DVD,” and then switches the TV’s input source you set with one button push. Preparing for the THEATRE SYNC function Register the TV’s input source connected to this system .
Other Operations 61 GB • This function is only for SONY TVs. (This function may not work on some S ONY TVs.) • If dis tance betw een TV and this sys tem is too far, this function ma y not work.
