6 VENTILATION The slots and openings in the TV are provided for neces sary ventilation. To ensure reliable operation of the TV an d to protect it from overheating, these slots an d openings must never be blocked or cov ered. Unless proper ventilati on is provided, the TV may gather dust and g et dirty.

13 Getting Started 2 HD MI IN 1 HDMI/ R-A UDIO-L HDMI (High-Definitio n Multimedi a Interface) provides an un compressed , all-digital audi o/video interf ace bet ween th is TV and a ny HDMI-equ ipped a udio/vid eo equip ment, such as a set-top box, D VD pl ayer , Blu-ray Disc P layer, A/V receiver as well as PC.

15 Getting Started Shown with D V I Connection ~ • If the equipment has a D VI jack and no t an HDMI j ack, connec t the D VI jack to th e HDMI IN 1 (with DVI-to-HDMI cable or adapt er) jack and connect t he audio jack to the A UDIO IN (L/R) jacks of HDMI IN 1.
