6 ASSEMBL Y INFORMA TION - - TRIMMER H EAD TRIMMER HEAD NOTE: Remove the blade and metal shield be- fore attaching t he plastic shield and trimmer head. T o remove blade, a lig n h ol e i n t he du st cup with the hole in the side of the gearbox by rotating t he blade.
7 1. P lace the metal shield under the gearbox, and align the screw holes. Shield Gearbox 2. Insert and thread the 4 m ounting screws through t he holes of the gearbox and the metal s hield. Tighten evenly and secure- ly with the hex wrench prov ided.

13 EDGER SAFETY W ARNING: Inspec t t he area to be edged bef ore eac h use. Remov e objects (ro cks, broken glass, nai ls, wire , etc.) which can be thrown by the blade or can wrap around t he shaft. S Blade rotates moment arily af ter the trigger is released.

S After striking a foreign object, stop the engine, disc onnect spark plug and i nspect the snowt hrower for damage and repair if necess ary before restart ing unit .
