The alter nate pump location shown in illustration on page 11 is required in l arge, multi-story building installations, especially when high-head pumps are used.

Hand valves (sho wn) or automatic valv es must be installed to prev ent circulation of c hilled water in the boiler or hot w ater in the chiller .
