8 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Accessing t he Camera Accessing the Camera To install the AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 Network Camera, refe r to t he Installation Guide supplied with your product. The network camera can be used with most operating systems and browsers.
9 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Accessing t he Camera Access from the Internet Once connected, the camera is accessible on you r local network (LAN). To access the camera from the Internet you must configure your broadband router to allow incoming data traffic to the camera.
10 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Accessing t he Camera Configure capture mode Capture mode defines how image data is taken from the image sensor with respect to resolution and frame rate, and is set the first time the camera is accessed. Select th e desired capture mode from the drop-down list and click OK .

14 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Video and Audio Streams AXIS Media Control (AMC) AXIS Media Control (AMC) in Internet Explorer in Windows is the recommended method of accessing liv e video from the network camera. The AMC Control Panel can be used to configure various video and audio settings.
15 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Configuring the camera Configuring the camera AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 can be c onfigured by users with administrator or operator rights. To access the product’s configuration menus, click Setup in th e top right-hand corner of the Live View page.
16 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Video & Audio Video & Audio Video Stream To enable view areas, go to Setup > Video & Audio > Camera Settings > View Areas . If View Areas have been ena bled, the defined View Areas are listed here and each View Area is given its own video stream settings.
17 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Video & Audio Overlay Settings To place an overlay image at sp ecific coordinates in the view area, check Include overla y image at coordinate s and enter the X and Y coordinates. The overlay image must first be uploaded to the network camera, see Overlay Image, on page 20.
18 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Video & Audio Stream Profiles There are four pre-programmed stream prof iles available for quick set-up. These setti ngs can be adjusted and new customized profiles can be created. Each profile has a descriptive name, describing its usage an d/or purpose.
19 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Video & Audio White Balance This is used to compensate for the different colors present in different light sources, to make the colors in the image appear the same. AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 can be set to automatically identify the light source and compensate for its color.
20 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Video & Audio 3. Select an aspect ratio and a video stream resolution. If the Snap t o video stream resolutions box option is selected, the view area is automatically resized to eq ual the size of the video stream resolution.

22 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Video & Audio Audio Settings This section describes h ow to configure the basic audio settings for the network ca mera. Th ese settings apply to all video streams, whereas audio functionality can be enabled or disabled in each view area and stream profile.
