21 11 Wireless Settings You can set paramete rs that are used f or the wirel ess stations t o conne ct to this rout er. The param eters i nclude Mod e, ESS ID, Channel Number an d Associa ted Client . Wireless Function Enabl e or Disabl e Wireless funct ion he re.
22 Basic Settings Band Al lows you t o set the AP fi xed at 802.11b or 802.11g m ode. You c an al so select B+G m ode to allow 802 .11b and 8 02.11g clients at th e same ti me. ESSID Th is is t he name of th e wirel ess signa l whi ch is broadcasted. All th e devices i n the same wireless LAN shoul d have t he same ESS ID.
23 Advanced Settings This ta b allows you to set the ad vanced wireles s options. Th e opti ons inclu ded are Auth enticati on Type, Fragm ent Thr eshold , RTS Threshol d, Beacon Interval , and Pream ble Typ e. You shou ld not ch ange the se paramet ers unl ess you know what effect the cha nges will have on the router.
24 Broadcast ESSID If you enabled “Br oadcast E SSID”, ev ery wirel ess stati on located wi thin the coverage of this acces s point can discover t his access poin t easil y. If you are bui lding a p ubli c wireless netw ork, enabli ng t his feature is recommend ed.
25 Securit y This Acce ss Point provides compl ete wi reless LA N security fun ctions, i ncl uded are WEP, IEEE 802.11 x, IEEE 802.11x with WEP, WPA wi th pre-shar ed key and WPA wit h RADIUS. Wi th th ese securi ty functi ons, you can p revent you r wi reless LAN from i ll egal access.
26 WEP When you s elect 64-b it or 128- bit WE P key, y ou have to ent er WEP keys to encrypt dat a. You can gene rate the k ey by your self and ente r it. You ca n enter four WEP key s and sel ect one o f them as a default key . Then the router can recei ve any pack ets enc rypted by one of th e four keys.
27 WP A Pre -shared Ke y Wi-Fi Protected Acc ess (WPA ) is an ad vanced s ecurity stan dard. You c an u se a pre-shar ed key to au thent icate wi reless stati ons and enc rypt data du ri ng communi cati on. It uses TKIP o r CCMP (A ES) to change the en crypti on key frequentl y.
28 WP A -Radius Wi-Fi Protected Acc ess ( WP A ) is an ad vanced s ecurity stand ard. You can use an external RADIUS server to authenti cate wi reless stati ons and provi de the session ke y to encrypt data du ring communi cation. It uses TKIP or AE S to change th e encrypti on key frequentl y.
29 ACL This wi reless route r supports MAC Add ress Cont rol, whi ch prevents unaut horized cli ents from acc essing your wirele ss network. Enable w ireless acc ess cont rol Enab les the w ireless ac.
30 WPS Wi-Fi Protected Setu p (WPS) i s the simp lest way to estab li sh a connecti on between th e wirel ess client s and the wireless r outer. You d on’t hav e to sel ect the encrypti on mod e and fil l in a l ong encrypti on passphra se every ti me when you try to setup a wi reless con nection.
31 WPS Curr ent Stat us If th e wireless s ecuri ty (encryption ) functi on of this wireless router is pr operl y set, you’ll see a ‘Conf igu red’ message he re. Otherwi se, you’ll see ‘Un Configu red’. Self Pin C ode Thi s is the WPS PIN c ode of the wirel ess router.
32 12 Firewall Settings The Broadban d rout er provides extensi ve firewa ll protection b y restri cting connecti on paramet ers, thu s limi ting the risk of hacker attac ks, and d efendi ng agai nst a wid e array of comm on Inte rnet attac ks.
33 DMZ If you have a cli ent PC that cannot run an Inter net applicati on (e.g. Ga mes) properly f rom behi nd the NAT fi rewall , then you can open up t he firewal l restricti ons to unrest ricted two- way Int ernet access by defi ning a DM Z Host.
34 Denial of Service (DoS) The Broadban d rout er's fi rewall can bl ock comm on hacker att acks, in cludi ng Denial of Service, Pi ng of Death , Port Scan and Sync Flood.
35 A ccess You can r estrict us ers from ac cessin g certain Internet appli cations/se rvices (e.g. Int ernet websi tes, email , FTP etc.), Access Control all ows users t o defin e the traffi c type permi tted i n your LAN . You can control whi ch PC cli ent can ha ve access to th ese se rvices.
36 Remove PC If you w ant to rem ove som e PC fr om the "MAC F il tering Table", select the PC you wa nt to rem ove in t he tabl e and then cli ck "Delete Selected" . If you wan t to remov e all PCs from th e table, just cl ick th e "Delete All" b utton.

41 Popular applicatio ns Thi s section li sts the mo re popul ar appli cations that require mul ti ple connecti ons. Select an appli cation from th e Popul ar Appli cations selecti on. Once y ou have s elected an applicati on, select a l ocation (1-10) in the Copy t o sel ection box and then cli ck the Copy to bu tton.

48 Remote Management The remote managem ent functi on allows you to de signat e a host in th e Internet the abili ty to config ure the Broad band rou ter fro m a remote site.
49 Firmware Upgrade This pa ge allows you to upg rade the rout er’s firmw are. Firmware Upgrade Thi s tool all ows you to upg rade the B roadband router’s system fi rmware.
50 Backup Settings The Backup screen a llows you to save (Ba ckup ) the router’s current configu ration setti ngs. When y ou save the conf igu ration setting (Backup) you can re-l oad the saved confi guration i nto th e router through t he Restor e selection .

52 DDNS DDNS al lows you t o map th e static domai n nam e to a dynami c IP add ress. You must get an accoun t, passw ord and you r stati c domai n name from th e DDNS service p roviders. Th is router supports DynDNS , TZO and other comm on DDNS service p roviders.
