8 Bringing up t he WL-326 Connect the sup pl ied power-adapter to the po wer inlet port and conn ect it to a wal l outlet. The WL -326 a utomatical ly enters t he se lf-test p hase. Du ri ng self-test phase, th e Power LED wil l be l it con tinuousl y to i ndicate t hat this product i s i n normal operation.

L A N setting s The LA N tab gi ves you the opportunity to change the IP setti ngs of th e WL - 326. Click <Ap ply> at the b ottom of this screen to save any cha nges. IP address 192 .168. 0.1. It i s t he router ’ s LAN IP address (Y our LAN cl ients default gateway IP address) .
Lease Time Forever . In the Lease Tim e sett ing y ou can specif y the tim e period that the DHCP le nds an IP address to your LA N cli ents. The DHCP wil l c hange your LAN cli ent’s IP address when thi s tim e threshol d perio d is rea ched.
Device S t atus View t he Broadband router’s current config ura tio n settings. Devi ce Status displ ays the c onfi guration sett ings you’ve c onfi gured i n the Wizard / Basic Settings / Wi reless S ettin gs sectio n.
Internet St atus This page displ ays whether the WAN port is c onnecte d t o a Cable/DSL o r 3G connecti on. It also dis plays th e router’s WAN IP address, S ubnet Mask, and ISP Gateway a s w ell as M AC address, th e Prima ry DNS. Press Renew button to renew your WAN IP address.
DHCP Cl ient S t atus DHCP This pa ge shows all DH CP cli ents (LAN PCs) currentl y conn ected to your network. The table shows the assi gned IP ad dress, MAC address and expiration time for each DHCP leased cli ent. Use the R efres h butt on to updat e th e availabl e informatio n.
WL-326 Log View the o peration lo g of the WL-326 . This page shows th e current syst em l og of the Broadband router . It disp lays any event occurred after system s tart up.

10 Configuration W izard Click Wizard to c onf igure the router . The S etup wizard wi ll now be di splayed; check that the m odem is con nected an d cli ck Next. Select yo ur country from the Cou ntry l ist. Se lect your i nternet provid er . Click Next.

11 Wireless Set tings Y ou can set parameters that are used for th e wirel ess stations t o connect to t his router . The parameters include Mode, E SSID, Channel N umber and Associated Client. Wireles s Function Enable or Disa ble W irele ss functi on here.
Basic Settings Mode Allow s you to set the AP to AP , Stat ion, B ridge or WDS mode . Band Allow s you to set the AP f ixed at 802.1 1b or 802.11g mode. Y o u ca n al so select B+G mode to allo w 80211b and 802. 11g cl ients at the same time. SSID Thi s i s the name of the w irel ess si gna l wh ich is broadcasted.
A d vanced Settings This tab allo ws you to set the advanced wi reless opti ons. The optio ns incl uded are Authe ntication T ype, Fragment Thresho ld, R TS Threshold, Beacon Interval, and Preamble T ype. Y ou shou ld not change these para meters unle ss you k now what effect the cha nges wi ll have on the router .
Beacon Interval is the i nterv al of time that thi s w ireless router broadcasts a beacon. A B eacon i s use d to sync hronize the wi rele ss network. Data R ate The “Data Rate” i s the ra te that this acces s point uses to transmit data packets.
Security This Access Point provi des com plete w ire less LAN sec urity funct ions, inc luded are WEP , I EEE 8 02. 11x, IEEE 8 02.11x w ith WEP , WP A w it h pre-shared key and WP A with RADI US. With th ese security funct io ns, you ca n prevent your w irel ess LAN from i lle gal access .
WEP When you sel ect 64-b it or 12 8-bit WEP key , you have to enter WEP keys to encrypt data. Y ou can gen er ate the key by yourself an d enter it. Y ou can enter four W EP keys an d sel ect one o f them as a d efault k ey . T hen the router can receive any packets e ncrypted by on e of t he four keys.
WP A Pre-shared Ke y Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) is an advanced security sta ndard. Y o u can use a pre-shared key to authe nticate w irel ess statio ns and encrypt data d uring communicati on. It uses TKIP or CCMP (AES) to change the encrypt ion key frequentl y .
A CL This wirel ess router supports MAC Address Control, whic h prevents unauthorized cli ents from ac cessin g your wirel ess n etwork. Enable wireless access c ontrol Enabl es the w ireless access c.
WPS Wi-Fi Protect ed Setup (WPS) i s th e s impl est way to establ ish a connecti on between the wirele ss c li ents an d the wire less router . Y ou don’t have to select the encryptio n mo de and fi ll in a long encrypti on passphrase every t ime w hen you try to setup a wirel ess connect ion.
WPS Current Status If t he wirel ess sec urity (encrypt ion) fun ction of th is wirel ess router is properly set, you’ll see a ‘Config ured’ mes sage here . Otherwi se, you’ll se e ‘UnConfi gured ’ . Self Pin Code This i s the WPS PIN code of th e wire less ro uter .
12 Firewall Settings The Broadba nd ro uter pr ovides extensi ve fi rewall protecti on by restricti ng connecti on parame ters, thus li miti ng the ri sk of hacker attacks, and d efendi ng against a w ide arra y of common I nternet attacks.
DMZ If you h ave a cl ient PC that cannot run an Internet ap plicat ion (e.g. Games) properly from behi nd the NA T f irewall , t hen you can open up th e firewal l restricti ons to unrestrict ed tw o-w ay Internet access by def ini ng a DMZ Host.
Denial of Service (DoS) The Broadband router's firewall can block common hacker attacks, incl uding Denial of Servic e, Pi ng of D eath, Port Scan an d Sync Fl ood.
A c cess Y ou can r estrict us ers from access ing certai n Internet appl icati ons/servi ces ( e.g. Internet websites , email , FTP etc.). Access Control all ows users to define the traffic type permi tted in your LAN. Y ou can control wh ich PC cli ent can have access to th ese servi ces.
Filter client PC by MAC Check “ Enable MA C Fi ltering ” to enabl e MAC Fi ltering . Add PC Fill i n “Cl ient PC MAC A ddress” an d “Comment ” of th e PC that i s al lowed to acces s the I nternet, an d the n cl ick “ Ad d” .
URL block Y ou can block access to some W eb sites from particu lar PCs by enterin g a ful l URL address or just keywords of th e W eb site. Enable URL Blocki ng E nable/di sable UR L Block ing. Add U RL Keyword Fil l i n “URL/Keyword” and then cl ick “ Add” .
13 Advanced Sett ings Network Address T ranslation (NA T) al lows mu lti ple us ers at your lo cal si te to access the Inter net through a singl e Public IP Address or m ultip le Public IP Addresses.
Port Range The range of p orts to b e forward to the private IP . Comment descri ption o f this setting. Add Port Forwarding Fill i n th e "Priv ate IP", “T ype” , “P ort Range” and "Comment" of t he setti ng to be adde d and then click "Add".
Virtual S erver Use the V irtual Server fu nction when you want dif ferent servers/clie nts in your LAN t o handl e dif ferent servic e/Internet ap plic ation ty pe (e. g. Emai l, FTP , Web server etc.) fr om the Internet. Computers use numbers cal led port n umbers to recognize a particular service/I nternet appli cation type.

QoS QoS can let you class ify Int ernet appli cation traffic by source/ desti nation IP address an d port number . Y ou can ass ign priority for each type o f appli cation and reserve bandw idth f or it. The packets of ap plicat ions with hi gher p riority w il l always go fi rst.
Edit a QoS rule Select t he ru le you want to edi t and cli ck “Edit ” , then enter the detail form of the QoS rule. Cli ck “ App ly ” after editi ng the f orm and the rule wi ll be saved. Adjust QoS rule pri ority Y o u can se lect the rule an d cli ck “Move Up” to make its priority high er .

Firmware Upgrade This page al lows you to upgrade the rout er’ s f irmware . Firmware Upg rade This tool a ll ows you t o upgrade the Broadband router’s system f irmware.
Backup Settings The Backup screen al lows you to save (Backup) the router ’ s curre nt config uration settings. Wh en you save the confi guration setti ng (Backup) you can r e-load t he saved confi guration i nto the router through the Restore select ion.
Reset Y ou can reset the router ’ s system shoul d any problem exi st. The reset fu nction essentia ll y re-boots your router’ s system. Click < Ap ply > at the b ottom of the s creen to s a ve the above confi gurations.
DDNS DDNS allow s you to map the static domai n name to a d ynamic IP address. Y ou must get a n ac count, password and your sta tic domai n nam e from the DDNS service providers. Thi s router su pports DynDN S, TZ O and other common DDN S service pr oviders.
