AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Set Up the Product Set Up the Product The Axis product can be congured by users with administrator or operator rights. To open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.

AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Video • Maximum frame rate . To avoid bandwidth problems, the frame rate allowed to each viewer can be Limited to a xed amount. Alternatively , the frame rate can be set as Unlimited , which means the Axis product always delivers the highest frame rate possible under the current conditions.

Exposure Settings Congure the exposure settings to suit the image quality requirements in relation to lighting, frame rate and bandwidth considerations.

When using a text string, modiers can be used to display information such as the current bit rate or the current frame rate. For information about available modiers, see File Naming & Date/Time Formats in the online help .

AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Configure the Live View Page Configure the Live View Page Y ou can customize the Live View page and alter it to suit your requirements. It is possible to dene the following features of the Live View page. • Stream Prole.
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Configure the Live View Page • Select Enable recording button to enable recording from the Live View page. This button is available when using the AMC viewer . The recordings are saved to the location specied in the AMC Control P anel.
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) The PTZ menu is available if digital PTZ (pan, tilt and zoom) is enabled in the selected view area.

AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Detectors Detectors Camera T ampering Camera T ampering can generate an alarm whenever the camera is repositioned, or when the lens is covered, spray-painted or severely defocused. To send an alarm, for example an email, an action rule must be set up.

Changing the orientation of the camera will also change the position of the Motion Detection Window .
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Detectors Note • T o trigger on small objects or movements, use several small motion detection windows rather than one large window and select a low object size. • T o avoid triggering on small objects, select a high object size.
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Applications Applications Third party applications can be uploaded to and installed on the Axis product. Applications add functionality to the product, for example video analytics and intelligent video capabilities such as recognition, tracking, detection and counting.
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Applications If the Axis product is reset to factory default, installed applications and their settings are removed. For information about factory default, see Reset to Factory Default Settings .
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Events Events The Event pages allow you to congure the Axis product to perform actions when different events occur . For example, the product can start a recording or send an email notication when motion is detected.
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Events - Network – Trigger the rule if network connection is lost or restored. This can for example be used to start recording to the SD card. - Temperature – Trigger the rule if the temperature falls outside or inside the operating range of the product.
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Events • Send Notication – Send a notication message to a recipient. • Send SNMP T rap – Send an SNMP trap message to the operator . Make sure that SNMP is enabled and congured under System Options > Network > SNMP .
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Events HTTPS Send Images Send Notication Send Video Clip Encrypted le transfer using HyperT ext T ransfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS). Specify login information for the HTTPS server and validate the server’s certicate.
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Events Set Up Recurrences Recurrences are used to trigger action rules repeatedly , for example every 5 minutes or every hour . To set up a recurrence: 1. Go to Events > Recurrences and click Add . 2. Enter a descriptive name and recurrence pattern.
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Recordings Recordings The Axis product can be congured to record video continuously or according to an action rule: • To start a continuous recording, see page 43 . • To set up action rules, see page 37 . • To access recordings, see Find Recordings on page 42 .
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera Recordings To play a recording, follow these steps: 1. Go to Recordings > List . 2. To reduce the number of recordings displayed, select the desired options under Filter and click the Filter button to apply the lters.

AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera System Options System Options Security Users User access control is enabled by default and can be congured under System Options > Security > Users . An administrator can set up other users by giving them user names and passwords.

AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera System Options A Server/Client certicate can be self-signed or issued by a Certicate Authority (CA). A self-signed certicate offers limited protection and can be used before a CA-issued certicate has been obtained.
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera System Options IPv4 Address Conguration By default, the Axis product is set to use IPv4 (IP version 4) and to obtain the IP address automatically via DHCP . The IPv4 settings are congured under System Options > Network > TCP/IP > Basic .

AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera System Options NTP Conguration NTP (Network Time Protocol) is used to synchronize the clock times of devices in a network. The NTP settings are congured under System Options > Network > T CP/IP > Advanced .
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera System Options Use manually selected NA T router - Select this option to manually select a NAT router and enter the IP address for the router in the eld. If no router is specied, the product automatically searches for NA T routers on your network.
AXIS P3225-L VE Network Camera System Options Traps are used by the Axis product to send messages to a management system on important events and status changes. Check Enable traps and enter the IP address where the trap message should be sent and the T rap community that should receive the message.
