1.1 switch your phone on To switch your phone on press and hold the key . After a few seconds you will be asked to confirm switch on. Press OK . When you switch on your phone for the first time you will be asked if you want to copy your SIM Car d contacts to your Addressbook.

3.1 3 - manage your contacts T o choose the phonebook that you would like to appear in your phone’ s main menu: 1 Pr ess Menu and then select Addressbook/Phonebook, depending upon which one appears in the top left corner of the menu. 2 Select Default book and then select either Phonebook or Addressbook.

Y our phone also has a voice recognition feature, allowing you to make a call by saying the name of a contact. Y ou can assign up to 20 voice tags to numbers saved in your Addressbook. To assign a voice tag to a contact : 1 Press to enter your Addr essbook and then scroll to the contact that you want to assign a voice tag to.

6.6 6 - Orange Multi Media services bookmark your favourite sites When you find a site that you like you can bookmark it. This means that when you want to visit the site in the futur e you can shortcut to it fr om the Orange homepage. 1 Scroll to and pr ess Menu to access the Options menu.

To synchronise your phone with your PC : 1 Y ou will see a new icon on your desktop that is called Synchronise Siemens Phone with Outlook. 2 Double click on this icon. XTNDConnect PC will open. 3 Select how you would like to connect your phone to your PC.
To install your M55 as a modem : 1 Download the GPRS modem assistant software fr om the CD supplied with your phone. 2 Connect your M55 to your laptop via a data cable. 3 Select the modem software, and then select data cable as your method of connection.
To end your confer ence call , press . All calls will end at the same time. Note : If you ar e abroad the availability of this service depends on the network you are using.

change the way your phone behaves instantly A profile is a collection of settings that allows you to change the way your phone behaves by simply changing one setting. Y our phone comes with six preset profiles which you can change, as well as space for you to create two of your own.

If you remember something important or have an idea whilst you are on the move, you can save up to 10 notes in your phone for you to use at a more convenient time. To save a note : 1 Press Menu and scroll to Organiser . Press Select. 2 Scroll to Notes and pr ess Select.

recent call lists Each time you make, receive or miss a call, your phone takes a note. At any time you can access a list of the last 10 missed, dialled or r eceived calls.

5 Set up any diverts on your Orange phone before you leave the UK as you will not be able to do it when you are abroad. Refer to Chapter 4 for mor e information on call diverts. 6 Make sure you pack your charger and a three-pin adapter so you can charge your phone whilst abroad.

13.2 13 - refer ence 13.1 safety 1 network services The mobile phone described in this guide is approved for use on the Orange network. A number of features included in this guide ar e called Network Services. These ar e special services that you can arrange through Orange.
13.4 13.3 6 emergency calls If your phone offers the featur es listed below, and if you have restricted or barr ed outgoing calls from your phone, calls to emergency numbers (999 or 112 in the UK) may still be possible.

2 Insurance terms 2.1 Orange Personal Communications Services Limited (Orange) is monitored by HSBC Insurance Brokers Limited which is a member of the General Insurance Standards Council.

13.24 Minimum T erm the period of 12 months commencing on the date of Registration. Monthly Billing Date the day in each month on which your billing statement will be issued after you have been connected. SIM Cards ar e easily damaged and should be handled with care. W e will replace fr ee of charge any SIM Card found to be defective through faulty design or workmanship.
13 directory and Caller id what to do if you want your number to remain private 13.1 We will enter your Orange number in directories, and our Network will allow the display of your Orange number on receiving handsets. If you pr efer not to allow either of these options, please let us know in writing.
18 liability circumstances in which neither of us accepts liability 18.1 Except as provided in this Condition 18, neither party shall be liable to the other , whether in contract or tort or otherwise, for any loss or damage which is: a) not the fault of the other party; b) indirect and/or not r easonably foreseeable.
