6 When the data security kit is installed ■ Confidential files of the print hold function If an incorrect pass word is entered 3 times in a row f or a specific confidential file, the file will be lock ed. T o unlock the file, use "Relea se Lock on Print-Hold Data Manipulation" (page 18 of this man ual).
7 When the data securi ty kit is installed ■ FTP Pull Print When the FTP Pull Print function is used t o directly print a file on an FTP ser v er , a "User Name" and "P asswor d" must be entered when the FTP server is selected.

9 2 System settings This section e xplains system sett ings that are related t o the security function. Using the System Settings (Administrator) F ollow the procedure in "SYSTEM SETTI NGS (ADMINISTRA T OR)" in "3. SYSTEM SETTINGS" of the Oper ation Guide to co nfigure the setting s in the system setting s (administrator).

11 System settings Data Clearance Settings ■ Clear All Memory This program is used to manually clear all data fro m the mem or y and ha rd disk of th e machine .
12 System settings [Clear screen 3] The confirmation message "Clearing memory has been completed. Reboot is implemented." will appear . Select the [O K] ke y to restar t the mach ine. ■ Clear Print Hold Data This function is used to clea r data stored using the print hold f unction.

15 System settings ■ Clearance Time Settings T o fur ther strengthe n the security settings , y ou can ha v e data clearing repeated a set number of time s in each area. Select the sele ct box of each item and select the number of times that you wish data clearing to be repeated.

When yo u hav e finished selecting the chec kbo x es , select the [OK] k ey .
17 System settings ■ Disabling of Print Jobs Other Than Print Hold Job Printing in print mode other than from the operation panel of the machine ca n be prohibited.

20 Document Control Setting Enabling the document contr ol function T o enable the document contr ol function, f ollow these steps . Press the [SYSTEM SETTINGS] ke y , then sele ct the [S ecurity Settings] key , and the [Document Cont rol Setting] k e y to displa y the document cont rol settings screen, and configure the set tings.

23 Document Control Setting Using the document contr ol function When the document control f unction is used, a document control pattern is printed on the paper on which print jobs are printed.
