2 Important Safety Precautions • Cleaning — Unplug the AC cord from the AC outlet befor e cleaning the product. Use a soft damp cloth to clean the pr oduct. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosol cleaners or chemical cloth to clean it, as such materials may damage the product.
3 Attaching the stand unit — 40/46LE530X • Before performing work, spread cushioning over the surface on which you will be laying the TV . This will prevent it fr om being damaged. CAUTION • Attach the stand in the correct direction. • Be sure to follow the instructions.

5 Angle adjustment (only for 40/46LE530X) The TV can be rotated up to 15 degr ees to the right or left. 15° 15° Front NOTE Adjust the screen with both hands. Place one hand on the TV and r otate the screen while holding the bottom of the stand (the black part in the above illustration) with your other hand.
6 Connecting external devices Y ou can connect many types of exter nal equipment to your TV , like a VCR, game console, camcor der , DVD player , Digital TV STB (Set T op Box) and PC. T o view external source images, select the input source fr om INPUT on the remote contr ol unit or INPUT on the TV .

20 A TV (Analogue)/DTV/RADIO buttons Use the following buttons on the remote contr ol to operate the menu. AT V: Press to switch to A TV mode. After switching from DTV , radio or external input mode to A TV mode, the TV jumps to the most recently viewed A TV channel.

22 EPG What is an EPG? An “EPG (Electronic Pr ogramme Guide)” is a programme schedule, which is displayed on the TV scr een. The EPG is broadcasted together with DTV . The TV screen shows the EPG when the viewer presses EPG on the remote contr ol, provided that the TV is r eceiving the digital broadcasting signal.

33 Removing the stand– 40/46LE530X For wall mounting with the optional bracket (AN-52AG4 or AN-37AG2) remove the stand. Before setting TV on the wall • Remove the connected cables (DVD, VCR, etc) from the terminals. • Detach the four caps at the 4 locations on the rear of the TV .
