3 Important Safety Precautions • Cleaning—Unplug the AC cor d from the AC outlet befor e cleaning the product. Use a damp cloth to clean the product. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. • Stand—Do not place the pr oduct on an unstable cart, stand, tripod or table.

5 1 Open the battery cover . 2 Insert two supplied “AAA” size batteries. • Place batteries with their terminals corresponding to the ( e ) and ( f ) indications in the battery compar tment. 3 Close the battery cover . CA UTION Improper use of batteries can r esult in chemical leakage or explosion.
6 TV (rear view) Setting the TV Notes on installing the TV • Avoid dir ect sunlight and place the TV in a well-ventilated location. • Place the TV in a level location. Preparation 1 Removing the terminal cover Press down the hooks to remove the cover toward you.

35 Useful features T eletext function What is T eletext? T eletext broadcasts pages of information and entertainment to specially equipped television sets. Y our TV receives T eletext signals broadcast by a TV network, and decodes them into graphical format for viewing.

40 Appendix T roubleshooting Cautions regarding use in high and low temperature environments • When the unit is used in a low temperature space (e.g. room, office), the picture may leave trails or appear slightly delayed. This is not a malfunction, and the unit will recover when the temperature returns to normal.
