3 Safety instructions Safety instructions for the lith iu m polymer rechargeable battery The BA 300 battery is a lithium po lymer rechargeable battery. If abused or misused, this rechargeab le batt ery may be damaged. Pl ease understand that Sen nheiser does not accept liability for dam age arising from abuse or misuse.
4 The HDI 830 receiver The HDI 830 receiver The HDI 830 receiver can be used to gether with infrar ed transmission systems which operate o n a carrier frequency of 2.3 or 2.8 MHz. For charging the receiver, use the L 300 10-10 charger (see “Accessories and spare parts” on page 10).
5 Using the HDI 830 Using the HDI 830 Switching the receiver on/off Hearing damage due to h igh volumes! This receiver allo ws you to set higher volu mes than conventional headphones. This can cause hearing damage in persons with healthy hearing and espe- cially in children.
6 Using the HDI 830 Setting the receiver to the frequency of the transmission system You can set the receiver to the frequency of the transmission system yourself or have the frequ ency pres et by your Sennheiser partner. To set a frequency on the receiver : Note: The channel indicator 1 goes off after 30 seco nds.
