7 Commissioning Inserting and replacing batteries For active noise compensati on (NoiseGard function) you need a battery or rechargeable battery (AAA). 왘 Open battery compartment on the right ear cup. 왘 Remove the used battery. 왘 Insert the battery.
8 Adjusting headband In order to achieve good so und transmission and noise d a m p i n g , a s w e l l a s t h e m o s t c o m f o r t , a d a p t t h e headband to your head size. You can adjust the headband using the snap-in locking mechanism. 왘 W ear the headphones so that the headband ru ns across the middle of your head.
9 Daily use Adjusting the volume 왘 Use the VOLUME + button or the VOLUME – button , to adjust the volume. Note: The volume of the TalkThrough signal does not change. Listening loud? - No! People like to listen more lo udly with headphones than wi th speakers.
10 Operation without a battery The PXC 450 can also be used like conventional headphones without batteries. This is appropriate if you do not have batteri es, or if the batt ery is empty. To listen without batt eries: 왘 Fold the lef t headphone cup as inward as possible, as indicated.
11 Switching No iseGard on and off The following prerequisites must be fulfi lled for active noise compensation, NoiseGard 2.0: y a battery or rechargeable battery is inserted and y the normal / bypass sliding sw itch is in the “ normal “ position (see page 10).
12 Switching TalkThrough function on and of f The PXC 450 provides excellent damping o f ambient noises. However, to enable you to be able t o communicate with your environment unhindered while wearing the headphones, th e PXC 450 has a TalkThrough function.
13 Removing and connecting audio cable To use the headphones strict ly to dampen noise, you can remove the audio cable (see illustration). T o remove the audio cable: 왘 Pull the plug of the audio cable out of connection in the direction of th e arrow.
14 T r ansporting headphones To transport the headp hones with min imal space requirements, you can fold them in different ways: To fold the headph ones as flat as possible: 왘 T urn the ear cups 90°, as illu strated. To transport the headphones as compactly as possible: 왘 Fold the ear cups inwards, as il lustrated.
