5 Measur ement 1 . H D_CINE Mode Use this mode to obtain exposure set tings when us ing DSLR a nd d igital video cameras that record ima ges usi ng frame rat e and shutt er speed set tings. When measu rement s are taken, the meter will ind icate the apert u re value requi red for proper exposure.

CI NE Mode Use this mode to obtain exposure set tings when us ing fi lm or d igital motion-picture cameras that record im ages usi ng frame rate and s hut ter a ngle set tings. When measurements are taken, the meter will indicate the aper ture val ue requ ired for proper exposure.

5 Me as ur eme nt 3. P HOTO Mode Use this mode to obtain exposure set tings when taking si ngle imag es with adjustable film or digital came ras. Measuring m ode choices inclu de Ambient, Co rdless Flash and Cord Flash . When measurements a re taken, the meter will ind icat e the aperture value required fo r proper exposure.

Measurements will be taken continuou sly and disp layed as EV values as long as the but ton is pressed. Releasing the M EA SU RING but ton will hold and disp lay the l ast measurement value.

5. Measuremen t In mixed fla sh- ambient me asurem ent s, the me ter may fa il to dete ct t he ligh t if the fla sh bright ness is 9 EV low er than the ambi ent ligh t. In this cas e, make me asureme nts usi ng the “Cor d Fla sh mode” (See pag e 1 9).

6 Ad vanced Func tions 1 . C ali br ation compen sation f unc tion This meter h as been calib rat ed to Sekonic standards. However, compensation may be neces sary to calibrate the meter to camera specifica tions or to m atch the di splay to another exposure m eter.

7 Ac ces sories l S yn chr o cord (Sold S epar atel y) This is a five-me ter l ong co rd with three plugs . An exposure meter, a cam era, and a flash can al l be connected at the same time. This is convenient when measurements a re made, because it is not necessar y to plu g and unpl ug the synchro cord.
