English 18 TACHYMETER (for models with tachymeter scale on the dial) To measure the hourly average speed of a vehicle Use the stopwatch to determine how many seconds it takes to go 1 km or 1 mile. 1 Tachymeter scale indicated by Second hand gives the average speed per hour.
English 19 To measure the hourly rate of operation Use the stopwatch to measure the time required to complete 1 job. 1 Tachymeter scale indicated by Second hand gives the average number of jobs accomplished per hour. 2 “180” (tachymeter scale figure) x 1 job = 180 jobs/hour Ex.
English 20 NECESSARY PROCEDURE AFTER BATTERY CHANGE ● When the battery is replaced, the information stored in the IC does not correspond with the time and date actually displayed. Before using the watch, therefore, be sure to reset the hands and date, following the procedure below.

English 22 NOTES ON OPERATING THE WATCH *1 When a hand is selected, it will move back and forth and return to where it was. When the date is selected, it will advance one day and return to the current date. *2 The hand(s)/date move(s) quickly if the corresponding button is kept pressed for 2 seconds.
English 23 *8 Remarks on stopwatch operation: • With each press of the buttons, a beep sounds for confirmation. • Even if the mode is changed from STOPWATCH to another while the stopwatch is measuring, it continues counting. If the split time is measured, however, it will be released and counting will be continued by changing the mode.
English 24 BATTERY LIFE INDICATOR BATTERY CHANGE The miniature battery which powers your watch should last approximately 2 years . However, because the battery is inserted at the factory to check the function and performance of the watch, its actual life once in your possession may be less than the specified period.
English 25 WARNING CAUTION ● Do not remove the battery from the watch. ● If it is necessary to take out the battery, keep it out of the reach of children. If a child swallows it, consult a doctor immediately. ● Never short-circuit, tamper with or heat the battery, and never expose it to fire.
