Application Processes 17 English 6 APPLICATION PROCESSES 6.1 Loading the machine The f ollowing steps ou tline the basic proce dure tha t have to be use d fo r loading ma terials, webbing the lam inator an d setting th e brake t ension f or th e mate rials you will be using.

Application Processes 21 English 6.3 Feeding images To aid fee ding images, t he lamin ator is provided with an “Im age Guide”. T his de vice can be positioned in f ront of the top roller an d it prevents the images f rom inte rrupting the photoe lectric eyes.
22 Application Proce sses 6.4 Laminating and adhesive coating (Decaling) This proce ss involves sandwiching an image b etween e ither a ho t or cold lam inate on the face of the ima ge and a pressure-sensitive ad hesive on th e rear. T his process can be used to create se lf-adhe sive images f or moun ting down onto various substrate s.
