8 The battery run ti me is a pprox. 15 hours listening through the spea ker and a pprox 18 hours with headphones. Reduced power, distortion, ‘stuttering’ sounds or battery power indicator in “low” are all signs that the battery needs to be recharged.
9 Setting the clock The DPR 34’s clock will automatically update ea ch time you turn on the radio a nd tune to a DAB+ radio station or to a n FM station which is broadca sting the time vi a RDS. T ime display will fla sh 0:00 for a few seconds then display the clock time when it rece ives DAB+ or FM – RDS clock time signal.
10 GB 4. The display will show “W elcome to Digital Radio” and start to sca n the entire DAB+ cha nnel range a nd stop at the first f ound station. If the radio ha s been used before, the la st used station will be selected. Press in the tuning/menu jog wheel to play the station.
11 Service Information – DAB+ The Service Information display - T echnical information on the current status of the station being broadca st. While listening to DAB+, continually press in the jog wheel to cycle through information on a. b. c. d. e. f.
12 Menu Functions Press in a nd hold the jog wheel for 2 seconds to enter the menu list. The display will first show DAB and <Find Service s>. T urn the jog wheel up or down a nd choose from the following options: ‘Find Services’, ‘Ba ck’, ‘FM mode’, ‘Settings a nd Favorites’.
13 B) Ba ck – Press in the jog wheel to go ba ck to current listening status. C) FM mode – Press in the jog wheel to select FM ba nd. D) Settings – Press in the jog wheel to select from following settings options: a) Auto select – Press in a nd turn the jog wheel to select YES or NO.
14 GB c) SW version – Press in the jog wheel to view software version installed in the radio. Press in the jog wheel again to go ba ck to Settings menu. d) Fa ctory reset – Press in a nd turn the jog wheel to select YES or NO. Select YES to era se all saved settings, station lists a nd favorites.
15 g) DRC – Dyna mic Range Control (DRC) fe ature ca n ma ke quieter sounds e a sier to hear , especially when your radio is used in a noisy environment. This function only works within the DAB+ ba nd. Press in DRC and turn the jog wheel to cycle through; DRC of f, DRC Low a nd DRC High.
16 h) Service Information – Press in the jog wheel ea ch time to cycle through DLS (Radio T ext) inf ormation. Options are: ba ck, signal strength, broadca sting bit rate, frequency , date, time, en semble a nd progra m type. i) Sleep – Use the Sleep menu to set auto shut off timer.
17 E) Favorites – The Favorites menu is used to store a nd recall favorite stations. Y ou ca n store a maximum of 10 stations in the DAB+ band. Store a station Tune to a station a s per previous instructions, press in jog wheel to allocate Favorites menu.
18 GB Recall a station Press in the jog wheel to find “Preset Recall”. Turn the jog wheel to find the preset station you wish to recall. Press in the jog wheel to select. Operating your radio – FM 1. Turn on the radio by pressing Power button. Press in jog wheel for 2 seconds to enter Menu.
19 M anual tuning – FM Turn a nd relea se the jog wheel either up or down to cha nge the frequency in 50 kHz increments until you find the desired station.
20 GB Store a station Tune to a station a s per previous instructions, press in jog wheel to allocate Favorites menu. Press in the jog wheel again to find “Preset Store”. Turn the jog wheel to allocate preset number you wish to use (1-10). Press in the jog wheel a nd display will show “preset x stored”.
21 A) Ba ck – press in jog wheel to return to FM listening. B) DAB+ Mode – press in jog wheel to switch to DAB+ mode. C) Settings – press in jog wheel to select from the following settings: a) Audio setting – Turn the jog wheel to select Stereo allowed or Forced mono.
22 GB b) Ba ck – Press in to return to Settings menu. c) SW version – Press in jog wheel to view software version. Press again to return to settings menu. d) Fa ctory Reset – Press in a nd turn the jog wheel to select YES or NO. Select YES to era se all saved settings, station lists a nd favorites.
23 g) Service Information – Press in a nd turn jog wheel to cycle through Radio T ext, Ba ck, Date, Time, Audio T ype a nd Progra m T ype (subject to radio station RDS service availability). h) Sleep – Use the Sleep menu to set auto shut off timer.
24 GB Key lock function The key lock function is used to prevent unintentional operation of the radio. 1. Key lock switch is located on the top pa nel of the radio next to headphone socket. When the key lock switch is set to LOCK, the power a nd volume control buttons will be disabled.
